Clean, tidy and comfortable. Handy access to M1 and Leeds. Pleasant location. All our dealings with the owner were good, friendly and courteous.

“Great weekend get away!”
Reviewed 2 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

A spotlessly clean and tranquil holiday let within walking distance of the trans pennine trail so ideal for us as we love walking. Close to the M1 but set in a peaceful location. Great hosts, they couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect.

“Comfortable base for exploring region.”
Reviewed 18 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Good beds, comfortable lounge, great wifi, off street parking and friendly host. This garage loft accommodation is located in Silkstone Common, a short walk to the trailways in Nabs Wood, and the monument to the 1838 mining disaster where 26 children drowned. Short walk to the Railway Hotel for a hearty meal. Fully self contained for self catering. We were easily able to drive/ explore the region. Enjoy the warm sun streaming through the roof windows.

Myself and a colleague were just in the area for a couple of nights and this was exactly what we needed - nice and quiet with all the essentials!

“A Hidden Gem. Perfect Place to Unwind.”
Reviewed 5 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Just what we needed.
We could only spend five days but wished it was more and will certainly be back. What a lovely place to unwind and re-charge our batteries.
Viewpoint is a little gem. Hidden in the countryside alongside lovely woodland walks and horse pastures. We loved spending time with the resident ponies Bill and Ben who were really friendly.
We couldn't believe somewhere only 5 minutes from the M1 could be so peaceful.
The Village pub is excellent just a five minute walk away and the village bakery is divine. It was so nice to have fresh bread and cakes every day. We had far too many warm hot cross buns.
Ray and Sue were the perfect hosts from our first enquiry to helping us find the best walks and restaurants in the area.
We weren't sure but after our visit we can fully recommend a tour of the mining museum near Wakefield and the Huskar Memorial only 200yds away.
We're definatelycoming back and bringing Mum and Dad with us.

Liked best: The location is perfect for a quiet retreat and easy to reach Sheffield or Leeds
Liked least: It was upstairs

The owners were very accommodating and left us to enjoy our stay. The location next to the Trans Penine way was ideal for walks with small children.

“Good location”
Reviewed 7 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Viewpoint is a great base, the accommodation was clean and comfortable ideal for a family of four. The big plus for us was we were able to take our dog. The house is situated right next to the Pennine trail so lots of lovely walks ideal for cycling. Would definitely recommend and will use again. Thank you Ray.
