This is a wonderfull theatre. It is so small and intimate you feel as if you are almost part of the production. It has a great atmosphere with some wonderful plays. In my opinion well worth a visit. Good parking facilities very close by.

Yet another great night at the Lamproom! Went to see Barnsley Belles and laughed til my sides ached!! Lovely little theatre with some really good shows, friendly atmosphere and great staff. Can't wait for Steptoe & Son in September. Keep up the good work!!!

A comedy night at 'The Last Laugh Comedy Club' hosted by the excellent Toby Foster. Rapier witted and fast to engage the audience (don't sit on the front row!) he was the requisite anchor man for the other three comedians. There was a surprise bonus of an extra comedian as well, two in the first set and one in the second.
Craig Murray and (please forgive me I forget the other guy's name) were both funny, engaging and original, involving the audience and referencing topical issues.
Phil Walker was all the above, and he very slickly and neatly tied everything together at the end of the set.
An extra person at the bar would help, as well as more ice, but they worked hard to try and get the queues down, and to be fair, the performers waited for us to sit down!
An excellent cosy and personal venue, nice staff and a fantastic location. Great night out.

Whether you attend a panto, show, or any event - this little theatre is a treat. Though small it makes the atmos more intimate & everyone seems to enjoy that feeling (must be us Yorkshire folk!) The staff are terrific & performances high quality. Shame you cant take drinks in especially for the Last Laugh & music gigs, but the service at the bar in the interval is very good & quick and I beleive you can order drinks too, though we've never needed to bother! Seating is spacious & comfy & as you're on a slope - everyone is able to see the stage. With the Glasshouse pub just around the corner, its a great evening out. Well done Lamproom! Keep up the good work :)

The Lamproom is only a small local theatre but they provide a varied range of shows from classics to local writers to comedy club nights. Something for everyone. Being samll in size makes it an intimate family type atmosphere, more personal. Prices are very reasonable and even cheaper if you purchase a "season ticket" of 3 selected shows. Well worth a visit.
