The Coppa Club was busy when our group of old friends met up for lunch. As soon as we entered the restaurant one of our party was welcomed by name by one of the waitresses. We received first rate service by all the staff and even the Young lady manager found time to chat with us and check everything was Ok.
The ales and wine were fine and reasonably priced. The tapas style starters were good but not exciting. The main courses and sweets were satisfactory .What made the lunch special was the superb staff and the relaxed atmosphere
Also the style of the place and the excellent location.

We arrived with our three dogs after a six mile walk along the river and were surprised to see the garden and terrace heaving with people.

It turned out to be Sonning's famous Scarecrow Hunt.

Despite being clearly very busy the hostess in charge of seating customers was cheery and welcoming.

She said it would be about five minutes for a table.

Well about three minutes later as I was being served at the bar she came to find me to say she had a table on the terrace, in the shade and with room for the dogs to sit.

Despite how busy the restaurant was all the staff were friendly, we were served quickly, our food arrived with no delay and was delicious.

The all day menu has plenty of variety and we had no trouble choosing food to our taste.

Would not hesitate to come again and a very big thumbs up to the management for hiring staff of the calibre to be provide service with a smile on a hot and busy day.

We've been here many times especially for Breakfast or Brunch and had an excellent experience. We've tried the new one in Henley and also Marlow Ivy but keep coming back to Sonning but today the experience was terrible.

I will hopefully put this down to an off day (The waitress volunteered this information) but the food took a long time to come despite it not seaming to be busy. The two eggs for Eggs Benedict were solid so these were sent back. The replacement had a bread muffin that was totally stale. The ham was almost inedible being very over cooked.
I am pleased to say they did not charge for this dish but on asking about whether all muffins were stale, the waitress did say no but there were complaints about stale toast. They were very apologetic but I do think if a dish is sent back once due to one issue then care needs to be taken to ensure the rest of that dish was good. I am sure none of the kitchen staff checked the muffin was fresh.

I will hopefully put this down to lack of fresh food on a Bank Holiday Monday but will think twice about going back.

Kale on toast on the menu! Nuff said!......although, in order to meet the 100 character minimum for a review, I had to write a bit more.

The food was good, but you were paying for the lovely spot beside the Thames. I had a seed and grain salad, which was nice, but it cost me an extra £4 to have. A slice of holoumi in it! My wife found her meal to be a bit dull.
Service was fine, but because it was busy it was a bit chaotic. You could walk in through several entrances and sit down, but then find that you were sitting in an area that needed a reservation. So some people were disappointed when they were turned away.
