“Glen Alan stay”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

We stayed in the Glen Alan as guests of Paul and Brenda. It was in June, but had difficulty getting on here to review. The stay was absolutely fantastic, Paul and Brenda made us very welcome as soon as we arrived. We had a lovely room, very clean, very neat and extremely comfortable. The breakfasts were fantastic, choice of cereals, fresh fruit, croissants, and also a choice of main breakfast. There was a great full English, all freshly made, or a lighter one of omelet, or a special one with salmon. As much tea and coffee as you liked, toast and choice of jams and marmalade, far too much to try everything, but what a great choice. We only stayed three nights but wished it could have been longer. We were blessed by good sunny weather, and their front garden was a picture of vibrant colour. I hope to add photos later. A very inviting entrance to a beautiful guest house and lovel hosts. Thank you both, and my apologies for the delay on getting this review on. We hope you've had a summer full of appreciative guests, it's certainly deserved and we hope to be with you again sometime. Lots of love from us both, we think of you as family.

Room Tip: Contact Brenda or Paul before you go, explain what you would like and I'm sure they will do thei...

We stayed for for two nights(9th and10th August) with two grandchildren. Had the family room which had everything we needed. Grandchildren loved having single beds rather than bunk beds! Great to have a parking permit, we didn't move the car during our stay as everything in walking distance. The breakfasts were great too, beautifully cooked and presented. Will recommend to friends and family.

Me and my girlfriend stayed for two nights in July. Excellent setting only a short walk from the beach and from the centre of town. We had used the guest house as a centre to get to York and to Leeds with a nice location to stay in. Breakfast was filling and the owners were really welcoming. The distance to York and Leeds was far out but the guest house was inexpensive and plush with a lovely comfortable bed.

Booked to stay 22nd June greeted by Alan who sorted everything out in no time parking permit etc
Room was great number 8 at the back, breakfast was of very good quality and cooked to perfection, very central to town and beach, also very clean and as someone said lots of wood but great for the house. What a lovely couple very informative to where to go and what to see.
Brenda even phoned us just as we were leaving to tell us there was a secret garden opened in the old town which was great would definitely recommend and if we are that way this is where we'd stay thanks you two

2nd visit to Glen Alan. Brenda & Paul very welcoming, room spotless, breakfast great quality produce
.We book the deluxe room its at the back of the B.B. away from road noise and paid extra for the room very reasonable priced excellent value

We have no hesitation to recommend this B.B.

You can walk into Bridlington from the B.B. also close to the sea front.

Enjoyed our visit and will be back. Good value - enjoyed our 3 day visit,

Room Tip: We like the rooms at the back.

This place is a little gem. I stayed there for two nights. The room was well presented and there was lots of extras. There was robes and slippers for instance and wine glasses too! There was also a mini bar fridge in the room. It was 90p for cans and about 3.50 for a small bottle of wine.
The Bed was firm with lots of pillows. The shower was good. However, there was a lot of dust at the back of the door. Every were else was clean!!
The. Breakfast was amazing. The hosts will go out of their way to make you enjoy your meal. I have a gluten free diet and there was to bread provided for. There is a large variety of breakfasts for all tastes!!
I loved the style and deco. There is a lot of wood which fits into the building. It might not be to everyone's taste, nut it is not offensive at all. The hosts were kind and generous. They had obviously spent money refitting the whole place out.
Lastly the location is excellent. About a 5 min walk from the seaside and town centre. There is lots of eating places around.

Room Tip: It is worth upgrading
