“Girls weekend”
Reviewed 25 April 2012

This is the second time we stayed at the Kilburn in Bridlington for a long weekend, and we were not disappointed. From the minute you walk in the door to the moment you leave nothing is too much trouble. Our every wish was catered for from the brand of slimline tonic water to drink with the gin to the sandwiches Jan made up at night.
Our rooms were exceptionaly clean, the bathrobes were a nice touch and handy as one of our group hadn't brought hers, In fact all of the little touches like cotton wool, sewing kit shower cap and shoe shine kit are what you would expect of a 5 star hotel not a Guest House. The breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit cereals and a choice of cooked breakfast were all delicous.
Billy and Jan know how to look after their guests at all times and are excellent company. We enjoyed a few drinks in the bar and were so comfortable that had we have not had a function to attend we would have stayed put.
It is close enough to the beach and town to walk every where.
We have already booked for next year and are looking forward to going back again we had such a great time.
I would reccomend this guest house to anyone who wants more than your run of a mill B&B, for us it was perfect, always exceeds our expectations. Thank you Jan and Billy and see you next year - The 4 girls!!!!

Room Tip: All are good.

Never stopped in a guest house before but with the most helpful and friendly people running the Kilburn I would definaitley return to this one. On arrival greeted with friendly faces and offers to run us about if we wanted. The place was that good me and my wife only went out during the day and stayed in the bar with Billy, Jan and other guests at night. Having stayed three nights we saw that both Jan and Billy couldnt do enough for any of there guests making food for guest who had missed meals and even picking other guests up from the train station.
Serves a mean breakfast and keeps a very clean guest house and very comfortable bed (Sharon wanted to take it home) Cannot say enough good things about this place even the Crocodile made from towels leafs and spoons was excellent

By far the best Guest House we've stayed in. Rooms are spotless & Hosts Jan & Billy made us feel so special.
My wifes Gluten-Free diet was absolutely no problem and evening meals were truly delicious. The walk to Bempton Cliffs via the Flamborough coast path (11.2m) was spectacular.
A memorable week and an excellent base for Walkers

Room Tip: All rooms are to a very high standard and noise is not a problem

The beautifully appointed, beautifully clean (even smelt clean!) room was more like that you would find in an expensive hotel, but the welcoming cup of tea and the much appreciated pick up from the station was the friendliness you get in a guesthouse. Really lovely place to stay and great breakfast.
Well-placed for both station and beach.

Room Tip: I stayed in room 5 - overlooks the back so very quiet and although billed as a "small double&qu...

The Kilburn is a lovely place to stay. The whole B&B is scrupulously clean and a credit to Billy and Jan. The rooms have some lovely touches and little extras which you would normally only get in 5* Hotels.
Breakfast is superb and really good quality.
It was good to have off street parking, and free wifi.
We will certainly return

Lovely 4 star hotel, very friendly couple, could not do enough for us. Welcome cuppa on arrival, cosy bedroom with en-suite, complimentary coffee & tea tray. Lovely breakfast next morning, everything you could ask for, cereal, fresh melon, pineapple & grapefruit and numerous cereals. Then scrummy cooked full english. All this for a good price. Would definately recommend
One of the excellent things about staying at the Kilburn is that they DONT allow pets and DONT have any of their own in the Hotel. This is something I have to check before I book as I am allergic to cats & dogs Could never stay in any hotel that does allow pets in rooms, the thought of it is horrible!! Pets belong in kennels ! (sorry my opinion)

Room Tip: We had room 5, very cosy

After staying in a few bad B&B's around Bridlington we tried the Kilburn because of its excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. The hotel was lovely , Billy and Jan went out of their way to make you feel welcome and the breakfast was excellent. Would definately recomend them to family and friends and will be staying here again.
Thank you for a lovely weekend.
