My wife and I have recently returned from a short break at Marton Grange Country House ,on arrival we were met by the owners Janice and Paul and were made to feel at home immediately. We were shown to our room which was first class with a view over the garden, breakfast is wonderful with a wide choice, we will definitely be going there again. Marton Grange has got to be one of the best guest houses on the Yorkshire coast if not the best....

This was our seventh stay at Marton Grange since Janice & Paul took over. It just gets better & better! Our room was spacious & very comfortable with excellent en-suite facilities. Fresh milk & bottles of water are always available from the fridge on the upstairs landing. The lift is most useful now that we're getting on a bit though we can still manage to use the stairs!
On arrival Janice welcomed us warmly, helped with our luggage, then we enjoyed a cup of tea & homemade scones in the conservatory. The house & all the rooms are beautifully & tastefully decorated. The breakfasts are superb with lovely fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals & juice followed by a large choice of cooked items sourced locally (sometimes even eggs from their own chickens). Guests can come & go at anytime during the day & are free to enjoy the lovely garden complete with fish pond. There is a good selection of books & magazines & plenty of information about local places of interest & restaurants. As well as the conservatory there are also two very comfortable sitting rooms in which to relax. Janice & Paul are wonderful hosts & nothing is ever too much trouble. Marton Grange is licensed with a good choice of wines & spirits. The best thing for us (apart from the excellent hospitality!) is the proximity to the RSPB Bempton reserve which we visit every year to observe the nesting seabirds on the cliffs. Thank you Janice & Paul; we look forward to our next visit!

The golf was great, but the most memorable experience was our stay at Marton Grange. Paul & Janice welcomed us warmly, nothing was too

The golf was great, but our stay at Marton Grange was the most memorable. Paul & Janice welcomed us most warmly, and were exceptionally helpful throughout. Our bedroom was very tastefully decorated and comfortable, and the bathroom highly modern. Breakfasts were a treat. Parking was not a problem. We have stayed at many B & Bs in the past - none have come up to this standard.

Room Tip: Room no 6 strongly recommended - good view of garden, and well positioned for both staircases.

This was the second time we've stayed at this hotel whilst visiting family in Bridlington. The owners are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are light and airy and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is wonderful. Would thoroughly recommend and we will definitely be back.

We booked Marton Grange many months ago to coincide with our participation in the Bridlington Golf Festival week. Friends who live in Bridlington visited on our behalf and recommended it to us for our stay for the duration of the event, especially as it is within ten minutes drive of all the golf courses participating, i.e. Bridlington, Bridlington Links and Flamborough Head.
On arrival Janice took my wife and I to room 2, a beautifully appointed room at the front of the building. We were also treated to tea, cake or scones, cream and jam in the lounge which was greatly appreciated.
Our room was absolutely immaculate in every way. Towels can often be a problem in B&B accommodation and for me are a measure of the quality and care provided for clients. At Marton Grange they were beautiful soft and smelled so fresh, they could have been brand new.
Breakfast was something really special. The table of cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt and fruit juice was to die for and seldom have I seen such quality on a breakfast buffet table. I am not into cooked breakfasts, but those provided for other guests from a really comprehensive menu looked superb and all the empty plates going back to the kitchen proved they not only looked good, but tasted good as well. Golfers both like and need hearty breakfasts and none of us was disappointed at Marton Grange.
On one evening during our stay plans for entertainment in Bridlington failed, so four of us residents took four of our non resident friends back to Marton Grange for a social evening. In no way did this phase Janice and Paul, who, recognising our problem, pulled out all the stops to look after us by providing drinks, etc. and moving furniture around to accommodate all of us in the lounge.
Marton Grange is an absolutely excellent accommodation and this together with the amazing hospitality of Janice and Paul made our stay quite exceptional and one we won't forget in a long time.
We may well book to play in the 2015 Golf Festival and if we do book ourselves in to play, immediately the second booking will be for our accommodation at Marton Grange.

From the welcome tea and scones to the send off breakfast our two night stay was a totally comfortable and relaxing experience. With one eye on puffins at Bempton our location was ideal midway twixt Flamborough and Brid Old town and a short stroll to the farm shop/café. The garden is a delight and premier room 5 was bright, spacious and well appointed. The friendly hosts have a lovely home in which it was a pleasure to stay. Be sure to make the short trip one way to Bempton cliffs RSPB site and the other to the Supattra Thai restaurant. Enjoy.

Room Tip: Can't go wrong. The first pick premier rooms overlooking the garden had all gone but premier roo...
