“Sensational.”

We had gathered for a 50 year old school reunion at Marton Hall just across the road, so the location of Marton Grange was perfect. After a torturous 7 hour car journey from Berkshire, through Friday afternoon end-of-term traffic, we were welcomed graciously and sympathetically by the owners Paul and Janice at a later-than-expected 10pm.

Our premier double room (no.6) was lovely… immaculate, spacious and tastefully decorated with a fine view of their garden. The en-suite bathroom was really nice too, with a state-of-the-art marble shower and powerful water jet. The side of the house is very quiet and serene. Just a small point, but the window mechanism was brilliant… important on hot, balmy nights.

There is complimentary wi-fi.

Communal areas are comfortable and restful… as is the well-kept garden.

Breakfast is terrific… locally sourced and very nicely prepared and presented. Service is very prompt. The fresh fruit salad and home-prepared muesli are both excellent. My full English breakfast was faultless. I'm running out of superlatives.

Other old Martonians staying elsewhere reported stories of grim accommodation, karaoke noise into the early hours and poor food.

Janice had recommended The Bridlington Links Golf Club for our 50 year reunion in place of the venue I had originally decided upon. This was excellent advice! My original choice would have been a disaster and The Links was superb.

I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere other than Marton Grange in the Bridlington area!

We read previous reviews of Marton Grange, and chose it because of the five stars. It fully lived up to expectations. A lovely house , set in a beautiful garden, with first class facilities . Warmly welcomed by Grace, the daughter of the owners, (doing her first stint as receptionist, extremely professionally) , who showed us to our spacious , modern bedroom, with every facility (shower, not bath) and we found every comfort.
Our breakfast was first class with a great choice, and again we were served with care and attention. Not a fault to be found. The stairs are very steep to the upstairs floor, but there is a lift, which was a nice surprise in such and unpretentious hotel.
The hotel is set a about 1 1/2 miles from Bridlington sea front, and we actually walked down after we arrived. Not a killer but far enough, so we got a taxi back . Altogether a rewarding stay
One minor improvement might be made on any future refurbishment. The curtains in the room were a little on the thin side, and though we were not disturbed by the light, the ambiance for sleeping would be improved with darker curtains. (Our request for a quiet room was met to our total satisfaction though),

Room Tip: We requested a quiet room and it was at the back, though I am sure the whole building is quiet.

Just returned home after a very relaxing 3 night stay. The owners are friendly and very welcoming as soon as we walked through the door we were offered a cup of tea. As well as the normal tea, coffees etc. at Marton Grange we had homemade shortbread ( which was extremely nice, my daughter says 'thank you for the recipe') , bottled water and fresh milk (kept in a separate fridge). There was an excellent choice of freshly prepared food for breakfast, I particularly liked the fresh fruit. First time I've written a review, because it's the first time I feel that a hotel warrants such a high rating.

We stayed at this guest house recently and loved every minute . It's absolutely spotless throughout and beautifully furnished . The duck showing off her ducklings was the icing on the cake.
Like others reviewing we found the proprietors very friendly and welcoming. My husband greatly enjoyed the discussions on alternative heat sources !
We will be sure to visit again

Room Tip: We had room 1 which was great but if you want it completely quiet ask for a room at the back perhaps...

This is a beautiful house, extremely clean and tidy with lovely decor. The room was spotless with a great bathroom and view of the garden. The hosts were very friendly but not intrusive and cooked a fabulous breakfast! The only downside was the window in the bedroom rattled in the wind ( it was extremely windy..). Will definitely be staying here again.

Unfortunately, the weather wasn't kind when we were in Flamborough. However, when we arrived at Marton Grange we were greeted with scones and tea which was appreciated. Marton Grange and it's grounds was just lovely and we enjoyed watching a mother duck & her ducklings wandering around the garden. The room was lovely, bed comfortable and bathroom had everything. Attention to detail was complete and the breakfast was lovely, I really enjoyed the muesli which was home made. Would recommend this establishment to everyone.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the garden on first floor

Although we only stayed for one night it was obvious that nothing would have been too much trouble for Janice and Paul - they were extremely welcoming and helpful. The decor in the room and throughout the guest accommodation was tasteful and immaculate. The beds were extremely comfortable! Breakfast offered a wealth of choice - the homemade muesli was delicious. A particularly nice touch was the availability of fresh milk for tea and coffee making and homemade biscuits. Overall an exceptional place to stay!
