room was very clean with a lovely view of the beach, breakfast was excellent , plenty to choose from, staff was very helpful, big bar room which is open to the public and we found the locals to be very pleasant, would recommend this guest house and will return sometime :-)

Room Tip: would recommend the sea view rooms

The location was fantastic, right across from the beach and promenade and just a couple of minutes walk to the harbour area and all the shops etc. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and our sea view was wonderful to wake up to every morning. Staff were friendly and approachable and happy to help at all times. Self service Buffet breakfast was nice with good choice of full english items to cereals, fruit and yoghurts.
There wasnt much to dislike to be honest. Our one problem was noise from the other guests as the walls are paper thin but that cant be helped by the hotel staff! The hotel provides a parking permit for the road outside the hotel but it was constantly jam packed and we had to pay to use the harbour carpark or another about 10 minutes walk away which luckilly were overnight carparks..........but again, not really the hotels fault! No real complaints at all. Great service.

We stayed for 2 nights for the soul weekend at the Spa. The only positive comment I can make is that Yorkies is in the ideal location for the Spa, literally across the road. Apart from that, rip off Britain is alive and well. £90/night far too expensive for the standard of accommodation. Very offhand greeting at reception where we weren't told about required parking permits outside. There was a bbq stored in the hotel entrance that was absolutely dripping grease from weeks? months ago? The whole place is run down. Our room was cramped, holes in wall in the dirty bathroom, threadbare towels and dirty carpets. We wouldn't have dreamt of walking in bare feet around the room. Furniture in the room would be ideal bonfire fodder! Beds not made (sheets were clean - a bonus!) daily or towels changed. Buffet breakfast was fine - but having experienced the cleanliness of our room, bar and corridors I tried not to think about what the kitchen hygiene might be like! I simply cannot believe that there are positive ratings on this site - Yorkies has an AA star rating plaque outside - this is either extremely out of date or the AA ratings have gone downhill - not a good advert for legitimate star rated B&Bs in the area. Our views were echoed by the other guests staying there over the weekend - perhaps the common soul interest aat the Spa kept our collective spirits up. Dreadful place!

We stayed for three nights over the "soul" weekend,June 22nd.--25th. Whilst we understand this time is very busy we think £90 per night per couple wasvery expensive for the standard of accomodation we experienced. The t.v. didn,t work, someone came and had a half -hearted attempt at tuning it in on Friday...that was the last we saw of them! The door lock was hanging off as was one of the curtains, the bedroom furniture was tired, hot water..from the tap..was not always available..I could go on.Why did I not complain? We settled the bill on arrival..2 couples..,the location is across from the Spa,where the activities were taking place and the breakfasts were good,so we decided to make the best of a bad job.I certainly wouldn,t recommend it to any body else though.

No one to greet us on arrival had to go in bar area to find someone ourselves! directed to our seaview room which was lovely, clean & decorated well. No towels in room had to ring the hotel 3 times before someone answered as karaoke was in full swing for the locals & my partner had been down twice looking for someone ! The breakfast was disgusting everything tasted deep fried & the grease on the plate reminded me why i shouldn't attempt to eat it & never stayed in a hotel where tomatoes were not available for breakfast!!!!! after reading other reviews we obviously chose a bad weekend to stay ...

Room Tip: ask for a seaview room
