You get what you pay for. The hotel is not bad at all, a little tired but the owners and staff were very nice. The beers were probably the cheapest in Brid and the locals that used the bar were friendly.
The breakfast was very good value, you could eat as much as you liked. I would stay again, no problem.

myself and my partner booked this dos house for 2 nights 22nd and 23 august.on our arrival we noticed the frontage was covered with cigarette ends bins overflowing and ash trays full the entrance was in need of total re furbishment. initialy our room didnt seem too bad what caught our attention was the sea view that is if you didnt look down at the forcourt.we just unpacked our cases and went for a walk and had an evening meal we went into the bar when we got back the entrance was full of cigarette ends and the smell of stale smoke was prevelant we had 1 drink and after listening to the locals f and blind for about 20 minutes we left when we got back to our room my partner called me into the bathroom the toilet brush was full of excrament and the shower cubicle was mouldy the staff were rude and the general attitude was if you dont like it tough. there was plenty of breakfast but it was cold we had no cups first morning we asked for one and was given one from a cupboard that was dirty with bits in the bottom.I complained to a guy who had a dirty greasy shirt on he was the waiter chef!. the next morning he had the same shirt on.I could go on but i am sick of this place it says it is a 3 star please dont believe this it needs relisting to a doss house i am sure you have the idea. when we left the frontage still hadnt been swept and we will never go anywhere near the place again!

Room Tip: please dont go!

myself & my 9 year old spent 3 nights here, staff really friendly & breaksfasts great , again the blonde lady and the gentleman that sorted us with tea & toast was jolly and warming, I know the rooms were a little tired and in need of updating, but clean bedding was nice and plenty of tea & coffee available and bins emptied everyday. Cheap & cheery and permit passes available for 7 days parking and no problem getting a space or maybe that was my luck!! The lady on the bar was really nice and also the lad was , really helpful again and nothing a problem. I would stay again!!! xx

Room Tip: Room 6 was nice & quiet

The landlord is ignorant towards guests needs and sits like a king on a throne as his wife/lacky runs around doing all the work, the breakfasts are plentiful but of poor quality, bland products I think the sausages were 200 for a quid, the bedding appeared clean but there wasn't a headboard on the bed, the shower mat was filthy and black with mould, I would suggest you take your own towels if you are unlucky enough to have to stop here, the carpets were so filthy you needed to wipe your feet on the way out, should you be unlucky enough to have to stop here see if you can get as much as a smile from the landlord he must be the most miserable man on the planet, but then again living in that midden I am not surprised!!!!! The only good thing about this place is it's location.

on arrival the first thing that hits you as you walk in is the aroma of the place, hard to express in words but i suppose you could say, musty, damp and just an all round unpleasant smell, being optimistic and assuming things could be better in the allocated room, we booked in and was given room 12. the room was dirty, dusty, had a damp musty smell, big gaps under the doors. a crack across the ceiling where water had obviously leaked through and run down the walls, it had not been decorated as the streaks were completely visible and mould was visible on the coving. my wife sat down on the bed and nearly ended up on the floor as the divan base was broken and she was sitting in the hole, off we marched down to reception to tell the young girl who simply didnt seem to have a clue what to say other than to tell us she would tell the manager or owner when he got back, i pushed her to say that it would be sorted but all she could say was that she would try, oh and that they didnt have any other available rooms if not, (not sure how they would of solved the problem if he couldn't). we left our belongings and went out to return a few hours later and the receptionist informed us that someone had nailed the board back on to the bed base!. we only booked two nights so decided to get on with it as we would be spending most of our time out sight seeing anyway. the complimentary tea and coffee in our room would of been a nice touch had the cups and spoons of been clean, stains from where they hadn't been washed were a right put off so we didn't touch them, they have a bar downstairs but we wouldn't go near because of the overall hygiene of the hotel (i use the word hotel lightly as the word should of had an S before the T), so on to breakfast, buffet style which i like but only if the food is nice!, they do the usual of full english and cereal, good side, cereal was the usual branded stuff, cooked stuff wasn't that bad but the plates were all chipped, cups were again un-clean, my wife had to ask for a clean cup, i just couln't bring myself to bother and prefered to go out to a coffee bar where the hygiene is more to my liking. overall then my view on the place is not a good one, we've stayed in a lot of hotels and b&b's and this one falls into the well below average category, the place smells, it is very dirty, dusty, damp and in need of some urgent decoration and cleaning. all in all the best part of staying at this hotel was the handing the room keys back and leaving at the end of it. my advice, clean, decorate, update and clean some more.

Room Tip: choose another hotel!

i had read the reviews and thought no where can be that bad can it ?. when we arrived all i had read were accurate i have never stayed anywhere so dirty in all my life.on entry to reception there was a strong smell of damp the hallway carpets to the room were filthy.when we got to our room no 17 i was not impressed the carpets had not even been vaccumed there was dust on the window ledge the curtains were beige but with damp black mould across the bottom. the bathroom was no better it looked like some one had used the loo but not flushed and their was black hair in the sink, but on close inspection the bedding was fresh there was no mattress protector just the sheet on top of the mattress, the duvet and pillows had seen better days too. all i can say is all that was done from the previous occupants was the linen change even the cups in the room were dirty and believe me i am no snob i try go for value for money but this triple room was not worth the £59 i was charged for it and they certainly could do to sack the so called cleaner the view was good but i did have to give the window a wipe to get the full benefit of it.other reviews of the breakfast said that this was at least one good point alas not for me either, there was plenty of choice and if you go for quantity rather than quality i'm sure you will enjoy it and again the cups on the table were not all clean after looking at 5 different cups i managed to find a clean one.the staff that were there all seemed friendly hard working but since you only have an hour to get your breakfast they had no choice it was more like get them in then ship them out asap.fortunately for us we had only booked 1 night as we were taking our grandson to the spa this b&b is rated AA 3star but there is nothing 3 or even 2 star about it but i have to say it was a busy b&b but all i can say is that if these people have anything to say good about this b&b then they must have very low expectations.
