“First Impressions?????”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

After a lovely walk along the cliffs, my sister, son and I decided to stop for a sandwich and drink.
We ordered two Roast Beef sandwiches with a side order of cheesey chips. Roast beef???? This was not proper roast beef, it wasn't even slices, just lumps and odd off cut shapes. IT TASTED LIKE PLASTIC GRISTLE. I have tasted better boiled brisket!! The sandwiches arrived on what I can only described as supermarket value range cheap bread which was dry and spread with something that tasted like cooking margarine. The chips arrived minus the cheese. The salad garnish was served in a little pot which we tipped out on to the sandwich plate, the lettuce that had been carefully placed at the bottom of the pot was dark green with brown veins, obviously the outer leaves.
I took the sandwiches back and complained. Only to be met with a blank expression and not one word of apology from the young fair haired lad who was waiting on the tables. Not what I expected after putting £27 into their till.
Next time we visit Bridlington we'll be giving this pub a miss.

“Great Fish and Chips”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

We booked a table for nine for early tea last Saturday. The one child which accompanied us had a lovely fish finger dinner. The rest of our party chose fish and chips which they do in a meal deal - two regular fish, chips and mushy peas for £12.95 I think or two large fish etc for a slightly increased price. It was absolutely delicious and I would definitely recommend.
