The Priory is the largest church in Bridlington, while now celebrating it's 900th year it is without doubt a fine example to behold.

Beautiful church. Kilburn mouseman trail around the furniture with a map. Photography is allowed but at a charge of £2.50.

The minute you walk through the door (is this a song?) you can tell this is a different experience. we were met by a very pleasant lady who welcomed us and very quickly pointed out a couple of things we should not miss (the organ and the tapestry). We did look at these, taking some time over both. Then we sat at the front of the nave, taking in the brilliantly restored and well lit altar area. We were joined at this point by another lady who was clearly a very knowledgable historian. We discussed many points about the church building and the church history and organisation. After over an hour we left, after being bid goodbye at the door. The people here have turned a relatively mundane visit into an adventure. Well done, all of you.

I visited the Priory with a group from our church and I was amazed at the building and its history.
It is over 900 years old but it is beautifully preserved and there is so much to see including some fantastic stained glass windows. The history of the Priory surprised me, did you know that Bridlington even has its own Saint?
If you are anywhere close to this lovely church I urge you to go and spend a little time there, you wont regret it.

The priory church is at the old town, you can walk from the town center but public transport is a better bet, the church is a large building like some cathedrals, it is amazing inside and there are people there who will tell about the history of the church, well worth a visit.
