Recently stayed at the Aussie Beach Shack whilst visiting Bridlington to see a band playing locally.

Arrived and was duly greeted by Wayne who advised on parking and provided a free permit, there's no shortage of availability on the roads around the B and B. We were then checked in and given the 'Wombat' twin room situated on the top floor. The room itself was small but functional with an en-suite included as well. Needless to say we didn't stay in the room long and walked into Bridlington town centre which is about 10 minutes away.

Went out for the evening and returned in the small hours, had a great nights sleep didn't hear any noise at all. Even though the property was full, this was not intrusive. At breakfast we were provided with a full English (sorry Aussie!), very tasty and it was comfortable sitting in the front room.

All in all I would highly recommend the Aussie Beach Shack, for somewhere to stay in Bridlington. It's reasonably priced, location good and the host very friendly! Will return again if in the area in the future.

Brilliant themed rooms - no wombat pics tho.

Super location for all you need in Brid, Wayne gives a very warm welcome, bags carried in and the parking permit a really good idea.

Breakfast good, tho its taken for granted you want a full cooked, so maybe asking would save waste.

Heating for winter lets is something a b and b MUST have. We returned from a cold walk at 2.30pm to be told the heating would have to be put on as it didn't come on automatically till 4.00pm, therefore our room was very cold. Usually winter letting supplies extra blankets and even electric heaters. We had non of this, the heating went off before midnight in the room and there was no heater, hooks, shelving at all in the bathroom. This made it very difficult to manage in the tiny en-suite. The only mirror is also in the bathroom so two people getting ready to go out have to take it in turns.

I would try a stay again but definitely in the summer months.

Room Tip: If staying in the winter months - take extra layers!

My husband and I stayed at the Aussie Beach Shack for two nights recently, whilst attending a party with people we met on holiday in August. We have never been 'up North' before and when we visit again, we will be banging the door down to be let in and demanding a room here!! Wayne, Anne and Jade (the friendliest Rottweiler you will EVER meet are amazing hosts). From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we had absolutely no complaints. We stayed in the Dingo (family) room as that was the only room available but was only charged the rate for a normal double room. The room was very clean and bright and the bed and pillows were extremely comfy. I don't like sleeping in beds apart from my own but slept perfectly well here. The rooms were well equipped with everything that you need (tea, coffee, sugar, milk etc). The location is perfect and everything / everywhere is only a 5 / 10 minute walk away. The hospitality was over and above what you would expect from a B & B, and more like staying in a friends home than anything else. I asked to borrow an iron, ironing board and a pair of scissors to trim my hair and was generously given Anne's own personal items! We were even invited into Wayne & Anne's private / personal lounge where we sat, gossiped and drank Anne's vodka all afternoon. They would not even accept money from us. We offered as we had been as consuming her alcohol!! We had a blast and put the world to rights! Breakfast was lovely, filling, very well and freshly cooked and perfectly presented. We would 100% recommend this accommodation and can't wait to return. Thank you so much Wayne, Anne and Jade. Looking forward to seeing you again sometime soon hopefully, and if not soon, then definitely in the future at some point x If you are ever 'down South', please be sure to get in touch, war stories and all that!! x

Room Tip: All rooms are perfect.

A warm welcome from Wayne with a parking permit for nearby street parking and a hand with the bags. The brightly themed Koala room is cosy, clean and quiet, being at the back of the house. It is well placed in a residential road within easy walking distance from the beach, the harbour and the town centre. The theming is continued throughout, a fun change from more ordinary b&b's.

Breakfasts are fresh cooked and nicely presented. Wayne's enthusiasm to make every guests stay a pleasent one is obvious and, like the Aussi theming, refreshing. If every I go back to Brid I will certainly head straight back to the Beach Shack.

A welcoming comfortable clean B&B with excellent breakfasts and a very hospitable host.
We arrived on Tuesday lunchtime time and although we were an hour early Wayne presented us with a parking permit right away so we had somewhere to park
