The hotel is located on the North Bay and has the most wonderful views of the bay and beach from the lounge and dining room, as well as some of the bedrooms. It is worth the extra charge for a sea view. We stayed one night and as previously stated if it had been during the summer months parking would have been an issue. Winter time is fine, but pay and display is off putting. Inside the hotel is spotlessly clean and the "period" furniture throughout gives the hotel a "deco" feel. If Agatha Christie's "Poirot" appeared no one would bat an eyelid! The dining room is bright and welcoming and the dinner and breakfast standards were excellent. The reception staff were welcoming. Our room was cold as was the bathroom despite the central heating and fan heater and I made use of both spare blankets. The decor is tired, and whereas in the public areas the traditional furniture is quaint our bedroom would have benefitted from updating and decorating. The supply of a hot water bottle would have been good!!. I would recommentd this hotel for its fabulous location and good food and reasonable rates. The hotel's apartments that are available to rent look fantastic from their brochure and perhaps in time the bedrooms will receive their makeover too.

Room Tip: Sea view definitely- the view anytime is fantastic.

We are glad that you enjoyed you stay with us. Whilst Agatha Christie got no closer to Bridlington than by "disappearing" to the Old Swan at Harrogate. Poirot, on the other hand, would have enjoyed the wide expanse of the beach and sea in frint of the Expanse, knowing that his beloved Belgium was just accross the water.
We hope that you will join us again in the future.

We went here as part of a party from work for an annual function. Many of the party, including ourselves, stayed at the hotel, as the price we were given for the rooms was very reasonable, and it avoided a considerable trek back home in winter conditions. The rooms we stayed in were basic, but more than adequate, especially in light of the price we paid. The location is good, being across the road from Bridlington's excellent North Beach. The attached Marine Bar sells real ale of quality, and has been recognised by CAMRA for this.

We were really quite surprised at how good the food we were served was, particualrly given the amount of people to be catered for.We enjoyed breakfast the following day, and overall we were very pleased with the experience.

My wife and I recently had Sunday lunch at this hotel having recently moved to the area.
The table had a perfect view of the sea, the staff were courteous and attentive, even though we were non-residents. The food was excellent - HOT and well presented. We could not fault the hotel...it was an EXCELLENT venue for a Sunday roast.
Thank you everyone! Keep up the good work in 2013...we want to come back!!!!

We are very pleased that you enjoyed your lunch with us. The view from the restaurant is wonderful, but it requires good food and good service to make the experience special. It seems that our team managed that. Thank you for letting us know. We hope that you will revisit us soon

This is now quite a dated hotel and the staff weren't the friendly Yorkshire types I was expecting - its a great location overlooking the North Beach though and away from the busier bits of Brid.
I found the staff a bit distant and uninterested - a good example is that at breakfast they had a choice of sitting me by a window or by a wall and they sat me by the wall - I asked to be moved to the window to be told the table was laid for dinner (with a sigh) - they did mmove me though

The Marine Bar, our CAMRA awarded pub, serves real ales and good food and value in friendly surroundings. I am very happy to pass you remarks on to Mac.

It's the Cattell clan again, just to say what a wonderful job you have given us over 2012 and look forward to 2013 with trepidation.
To get greeted by the Reception staff, all the names I can't remember, my wife could, she's not here, all with a smile on their faces, then the job-bodies, Eliot, Simon and the name keeps missing of the third, I do know him, the Waiting staff, Steve, Chelsea, Louise and a few others, they can't do enough for you, it costs you money but again why not, the Chef Paul ( he comes to see us when he's on, both in and out of the restaurant) and his crew, without which we could not eat properly, the butterfly steak is where Paul scored with my wife, I have only one hand that I can use, but even the roasted meats are easily cut by the fork. Our thanks to the Bed-makers etc, there are times when my stroke does not allow me to leave the room, they talk while they work, I'm afraid the three names are lost to my memory.
All we can say keep going you lucky Lasses and Lads, see you soon.
Carol, Keith, Paul plus two grandsons on occasions.

Room Tip: Rooms, generally are excellent down to good, Sea facing is the best, Land-lubber style is down as Go...

Stayed here several times - some rooms are great whilst others could do with a refurb. View from some of the rooms is quite nice. Overall would stay here again as few hotels in Brid have wifi and this one does just ask for one of the nicer rooms facing the sea.

Thank you for your review about the hotel bedrooms being hit and miss; however, as you can imagine, with a hotel of its size, there will always be some rooms that need redecorating. We hope to welcome you back to the hotel in the near future in order to ensure that your stays have more "hits" than "misses".
