“GOOD HOTEL WELL LOCATED”
Reviewed 22 June 2009

Very nice three night stay here as my last stop on my trip to the UK. Room 110 overlooked the very small car park, but gave a great view of the large number of planes coming in to land at Heathrow, thought the windows did a pretty good job of blocking out the noise.

The hotel can’t be very old and the rooms have a contemporary feel if a bit bare. My large room had a little alcove where the desk and phone were and the main area where the bed and TV were which meant if you were at the desk using the free wifi you couldn’t see the TV. Great closet space and space to put your luggage which can be a problem in a lot of UK hotel rooms. Great modern bathroom, again with plenty of space with a great shower, though a fair bit of water manage to find it’s way onto the bathroom floor.

Pleasant open lobby area combing lounge, bar and restaurant although I didn’t use any of them during my stay, they appeared to be very popular.

They have a very small and cramped car park at the rear which they charge GBP 10 or 15 per night which I didn’t use except when checking on or out as by the time I got back from being out during the day, you could park in certain areas on the street near the hotel, but you have to move the car by 7 am the next morning.

Overall for the price I paid through Expedia which worked out at something around GBP 35 per night room only which I thought this was an excellent hotel.

I guess one thing about the hotel is it’s location Hounslow is not central London and probably wouldn’t be the first choice for a location for most tourists, but I had previously spent a week in central London and wanted a place a bit out of Central London for the end of my trip which made this location perfect location for that purpose plus there is a train station Hounslow Central less than 2 minutes walk from the hotel.

While I don't think I would stay here if I were seeing the sights in central London, it is perfect for an evening layover or early morning flight from LHR. It is accessible by Tube (Hounslow Central), which is cheaper than dealing with the overpriced Hoppa bus. There are lots of shops a few blocks away in Hounslow, and various off-license places near the Tube station as well.

The room was a pleasant surprise: spacious, airy, large windows. My room faced the street: the noise level was normal urban street traffic. I was near the elevators and did not hear any noise from the hallways or other guests.

There's free wifi, too!

In all, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here while transiting through LHR, as the hotel is a very good value (I booked for US $49).

Hounslow may not be a thrilling place to stay, but consider that for a reasonable price (comparing to London standards you could even call it low) you get a clean, clean, comfortable and clean hotel just 40 minutes from Piccadilly Circus (tube station is 5 minutes walk from the hotel) and 11 minutes from Heathrow Airport. Kind service, average food, good WiFi and average choice of TV channels.

Good hotel for a very good price.

Well we used this hotel to stop the night after our team played in the EDF Final at Twickenham. The hotel room was spacious, clean and well fitted out at an absolute bargain price for London. Parking can be a problem but the Asda car park about 200 yards from the hotel is available at £10 per day. Suspect it is best avoid the restaurant but there are plenty of alternatives for eating nearby. The hotel is well located for the tube, shopping, Heathrow, Richmond, Kew Gardens.....and Twickenham. I just hope your team performs better than ours did. We would definitely stop here again.

This is a good business hotel, the rooms were clean and modern and the staff were always eager to help and solve any problems. The hotel is excellent value and all services functioned properly. The only draw back is the location, it's probably not the best spot if you're on vacation but it is very close to the tube station (Piccadilly line) so getting to and from town and to Heathrow is easy, perhaps a little time consuming.

Recommended to me by TA member. My goal was proximity to the Picaddilly Line (Tube) and Heathrow.
The hotel was a 100-second walk from Hounslow Central Tube Station, itself about a 10-minute ride from LHR T3.
Very clean hotel. Room was spacious by European standards (given my experience).
Pleasant staff.
Did not try the restaurant, but GREAT Indian food restaurant a couple of blocks away, in addition to fruit markets and convenience store.
Loved the hotel for its ease getting to/from LHR via the Tube.
Free Internet, including 2 computers in the lobby.
Wake up calls were reliable.

  • Liked — Proximity to Picaddilly Line/Heathrow
  • Disliked — Reception area cold in middle of winter at night. (That's the worst I could come up with!!)
