Clean, cheap, and very basic. Walking distance to the Piccadilly Line Tube station (Hounslow Central), and less than 15 minutes by Tube to Heathrow - 40 minutes to central London. Rooms are spartan but very clean - ensuite toilet, shower, and sink; bed is a bit hard. But very limited counter space and electrical outlets, so if you plan to do any work, you'll find space to be quite tight. I carry a UK multiple outlet plug with me which is essential here if you have more than one thing (such as a laptop and a mobile phone) to plug in. I do not believe the hotel wi-fi reaches the rooms; I carry my own prepaid Vodafone broadband and use that. Bottom line - if all you need is a place to sleep and don't want to pay a lot of money, this is a good choice. No frills, but you're not paying for frills. Now, regarding service: 1) I arrived at 11:30am after an overnight, overseas flight but was told that I had to wait until 12:00 noon to check in, or I'd have to pay a 10 GBP fee - even though rooms were apparently available - because that's how their computer system works. That's silly. 2) On previous visits, I've had discussions with the manager regarding their atrocious policy of making a physical photocopy of guest ID's when paying cash for the room. With identity theft on the rise, allowing anyone to make a copy of a personal identification document is asking for trouble - and, yes, I've had problems with this in the past with copies made at hotel check-ins, so I prohibit copies of my IDs to be made. This trip, I elected to pay by card, and they still wanted to make a copy of my ID. After yet another discussion with the desk clerk, they agreed to forgo the copy requirement. No other hotel I've stayed at in London requests copies of my personal documents, so it is not a legal requirement, and other hotels seem to navigate fine without them. This hotel really needs to find a way to change this policy, because even though the hotel is otherwise a decent choice, this policy really turns me off - and I don't like having to discuss it with them each time I check in. Note that within walking distance of this hotel, there's a Days Hotel that is slightly more expensive (but not much so, if you book it through the brand website), and offers so much more for the money - and they never ask to copy my personal ID. I usually opt to stay at the Days Hotel and choose the ETAP only if the Days Hotel is sold out because of this stupid policy.

The "Bed" was a bit of wood with a mattress on top. NOT comfortable. The air con was not working so had to sleep with window open. Had noise of busy road and bus stop all night. The window opened out all the way - dangerous 3 floors up.
Very small car park which was full. Next nearest car park with security and open 24 hrs was about 1 mile away. Not a nice walk when raining.
On a positive it was a fair price and was less than 1 mile to a tube station. Next time I will stay in Earls court area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with working Air con not on the road side.

Close the Metrostation. Easy walk to the hotel. Quite rooms.
Good located, not far from some restaurants / pubs / take-away bars.
Easily approach to Heathrow airport by metro. Breakfast is OK,
not to much variety, but value for money.

I would highly recommend this hotel if you are wanting to stay for a short i mean any where between 1 - 3 days and nights. The one I took was a single room over a night. It had all the ambience which i was impressed.

Although everything seems to be perfect I couldnt resist myself to point out one thing that was lacking thats the internet connection. Theres no wifi available in the room but its only available in the lounge.

Have stayed before and the hotel remains the same. Clean, basic and good for value considering its location. Parking can be a bit difficult unless you get there early although staff do all they can to cram you in. Entrance to car park can be a bit difficult if you are travelling in the wrong dirtection as in one direction there are no u turns. Bed is a bit uncomfortable if you are not used to a hard bed. Tesco Express just round the corner if you need that bottle of wine etc.

You expect that if you pay £30 for a hotel room just an hour outside central London that it's going to be basic, and so the fact that there wasn't complimentary shampoo/shower gel, tea and coffee or free Wifi in the pretty small rooms wasn't a problem. If all you want is a bed for the night then I would recommend this Etap; the reception staff were helpful (unlike all the other staff from housekeeping and the restaurant) and the rooms were spotlessly clean.

If you are looking for even a little bit of luxury then you'll probably be disappointed with what you get for your money here. The pillows are flat and the mattress is very firm, which meant that when we stayed my bf had a very sleepless uncomfortable night. On the other hand, I found the rooms were warm and comfortable and didn't mind the hard mattress, but despite a late night I was awake by 07:30 the next morning with planes flying overhead every couple of minutes, which some people might also want to take into consideration.

The next morning we skipped breakfast at Etap and popped into the Tesco which is right next door, which is also really convenient if you do want to pick up shampoo or earplugs. The only other thing that people might want to take into consideration is the lay out of the rooms. Like other people have said already the showers are in the main bedroom area, which would have been really awkward had I been staying with friends or family and wanted somewhere to get ready. On the plus side the shower was amazing, really hot and powerful which partly made up for a not so great nights sleep.

Stayed here several times throughout October, generally in a double but occasionally in a triple room (double bed with single bunk above)

Room always clean, bedding and towels also always clean. Duvets on beds plus air con/ heater in the room. Bed is firm, which can be uncomfortable.

The rooms all have a tv, bed, shower (the shower cubicle is in the room), sink, separate toilet, hanging rail, desk and chair in. They have one power socket (from which the power can be fairly intermittent!)

Hairdryers are available on loan from reception free of charge.

Staff helpful and friendly, not always available in the mornings (due to serving/ running the breakfast)

Can be noisy due to people congregating in the hallways.

Cheaper than local b&bs, 10 min walk from the tube, above a tesco express, gets busy so often need to book in advance. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
