“A relaxing, comfortable four day break”
Reviewed 7 March 2011

The hotel staff were polite and very helpful. We had forgotten to pack the phone charger and the young man on the desk had a box full for all sorts of chargers that we were able to borrow.
The Hotel is situated in a quiet, leafy area near a Swan Sanctury. We saw a number of interesting birds during our visit.
The layout of the hotel is low rise and airy and the heated swimming pool is of a good size.
The lounge area is comfortable and light to sit and one is able relax with a coffee and a good book.
We travelled into London by train from Shepperton to visit the sites and a theatre show. Bushy Park and Hampton Court are close-by and well worth a visit.
Walks along the near by water ways are interesting as it has locks and sailing vessel, and shop full of nautical goodies, one can also ring a bell for a ferry to carry you to the other side.
Thank you to all at the hotel we had a good, relaxing break and would recommend your establishment to our friends .

Second visit and liked it even more. Room size okay for what we needed and bed comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. Usual free shower gel and shampoo. Breakfast was good. Had an evening meal and we both enjoyed all of it. Young staff all friendly and helpful.
Maybe a bit of a hard place to find if not familiar with the area? There is a Swan Sanctuary on the corner of the entrance road.

- Staff friendly and efficient - was able to check-in early at 1:30pm
- Fairly easy to find, easy access from M25/A3, ample free parking.
- Easy 10 min drive to Walton-on-Thames station, where you can park free at the weekend and catch train into London.
- Nice swimming pool/sauna/steam room/jacuzzi
- Good breakfast buffet with friendly staff, all you need to set you up for the day.
- Room clean & comfortable but was too hot, air con was permanently set to "heat", also annoying "buzzing" noise started in the early hours of the morning.
- Overall a pleasant stay, would return & recommend to others.

We were put in a a room which just looked over a flat roof so no view as such. Weren't particularly worried as all we wanted was a place to sleep. Unfortuntately there was a party that night and the disco thundered through the walls and floor. I don't think the hotel has any sound proofing at all. If you stay here I would suggest asking for a quiet room and check first to see if there's a disco on. I had to drive home and then go to bed spending the afternoon catching up on lost sleep.

Stayed again in November on a two night special with dinner on first night which was very nice with excellent and very attentive service by two waitresses. Decent size room which was clean, and very good if somewhat basic choice at breakfasts. This hotel has good road and rail links to either central London or the M25. Got the train into London from Shepperton which took 50mins but decent service. Would definitly stay again.

A welcome as cold as the weather, an executive room without any frills and an atmosphere about as warm as a morgue. Our room was newly refurbished but the carpet had not been hoovered properly, the pillows like bricks, towels akin to sandpaper and no slippers or dressing gowns. The tea tray had 3 small cartons of UHT milk and the mugs and not been washed properly and not a bisquit in sight. The only saving grace was the gym and pool which were acceptable but not outstanding. The bathroom whilst clean and tidy was minute with average amenity items and the bath/shower had a shower curtain rather than a screen. On one of the coldest days of the year someone had anchored one of the curtain doors at the entrance open so a blast of freezing air hit the lobby and surrounding public areas every few seconds when they were used rather than the two sets working in tandem. However this didnot bother the reception staff as they took refuge in their warm office and only appeared when a guest arrived or departed. The self service breakfast which was passable offers cardboard cups for coffee which is a real touch of class and a toaster which either incinerates or just warms the simple task of toast making. If this is the standard Holiday Inn presents in a 4 star property heaven only knows what they do in their less venerated ones. One presumes the blatent lack of care and bother is due to the fact that the hotel is used for overspill from Heathrow so they have no need to worry too much about service. For GBP180.00 room only if you are unlucky to pay that give this place a miss and head off in another direction.

Stayed on a Saturday night, although the hotel was very busy the staff were polite, effecient and very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Bar menu was good and the food arrived fresh and hot. Breakfast was good, all anyone could want. Small criticism - lounge was not very warm. Is there any need for two televisions? Not all of us want to watch sport when having their lunch and just sitting quietly.
