Booked this hotel last minute when visiting family. The hotel is situated in a very pretty Church Square, it's small and very quaint with lots of wood pannelling.
Considering we only paid £47 for a double room with breakfast you can't expect a lot. Our room was interesting to say the least, it was clean & tidy but lacked tlc. The mattress had seen better days and didn't quite fit the base and springy comes to mind! The bathroom was okay but we had to have a tepid shower in the morning as there was no hot water. We were also woken up at around 1am by the people in the room next door who had the television on until 3am, they might as well of shared our room as the walls are so thin.
On a good note we did have a lovely breakfast in the morning, the only downside to that was the chewing gum stuck to the wood panelling fireplace near where we were sitting.
All in all the hotel is adequate as a base or in an emergency.More
