This is an attractive back street local’s pub with a bit of character. It includes interesting internal features that apparently make it worth including in a book about historic London interiors (though some people sadly think this makes it 'dated')! We didn’t eat but we found it friendly and welcoming, and with an atmosphere to match. I just hope they don't modernise it!

Pub seems to have lost its leader? Where is she? As a beer drinker things seem to being going or gone down the pan recently, beer selection is limited and poor quality when it is on. Shame had a pleasant local old fashioned feel lost its way!

Cannot vouch for food.

I was recommended this place by a friend, however found it a tad disappointing. The pub itself is dated, and the customer service was not great. The Sunday lunch was okay, nothing special. I much prefer the foresters in Hampton wick. All in all it was average.

Finding a good Sunday roast is tricky but this small, cosy pub, tucked away in central Teddington is waiting for you. Choice of various roasts served with fresh, hot and well cooked veg. Puddings are delicious and traditional. This is home cooked food so if you have to wait a while for the preparation, be patient because it's worth it. Maybe book a table, the pub hasn't many tables . Take a walk round Teddington afterwards and discover its many charms, the High Street is a stroll away.

We ate at The Builders Arms last Sunday lunchtime for a traditional roast.

The choice was either beef or lamb. The cost was approx £12 per head. Plenty of vegetables were provided together with Yorkshire puddings. It was all served piping hot with sauces and extra gravy. The quality was very good and I believe it is all prepared on site rather than brought in and reheated.

The service was efficient and helpful.

The atmosphere is a good local pub. It appears to be popular and was fully booked when we went.

We would definitely return.
