“Awesome "little" museum”

American Military Edged Weaponry Museum

Don't let the relative small size fool you. This museum is packed with knives, sabers, bayonettes, spy gadgets, weapons and miscellaneous gems from the revolutionary war to a modern M16. The pride of his collection is the sword of John S. Mosby. a Confederate cavalry battalion commander in the American Civil War known as the Gray Ghost.
The only thing better then the pieces is the owner. My kids and I had the pleasure to talk to Larry for a while and I guarantee you he knows more about the American wars than a whole school of history teachers.

Super collection has items dating back to the Revolutionary War. For a $5 fee you enter a different world - collection lovingly displayed and some of the little doo dads really strike a note (ex: cigar preserved from 1860, antique firearms). This museum is a smalltown gem and worth a detour on your trip.
