Two friends and I stayed at the Fusilier. We stayed in one room and they gave us three beds. The cleanliness was satisfactory. It's a good place to stay on a budget because the owners, some Indian gentelman, are all very nice and accommodating. They invited us to their new year party and frequently checked with us to make sure everything was satisfactory. It's not far from Wembley stadium. We stayed at 6 different hotels during out trip and the Fusilier was one of our favorites.

I stayed here with three friends as we were going to the XFactor Live Final back in 2011... Booked it as we needed somewhere reasonable for two nights that was fairly close to Wembley arena...

We paid £25 per person per night (£200 total) for room only "service".

We arrived at 2pm and could not get to the rooms as they were being 'cleaned' - almost an hour later we were taken up out of the pub and around the the back car park and up some cement steps into what looked like a separate building to the pub itself. Indeed it was just that a block of rooms on a higher level.

As we were led down the narrow corridor (which was not level and you felt drunk walking along it) we could smell musty / staleness in the air.

We had two rooms between four of us. Basic would be an understatement!!

It was very noisy up until about 130am on both nights as the rooms are more or less above the pub and as the windows didn't seal properly (surprise surprise) we could more or less hear everything including smokers stood outside talking.

I don't think I need to go into any detail about the state of the rooms as my photos will undoubtedly show how bad it was...

I would NEVER stay here again even for free!! Disgusting to say the least!!!

We booked this accommodation as it was fairly near to Wembly. According to our information we were allowed to book in anytime after 2pm. We arrived after 3pm and couldn't get in as the Inn didn't open until 4pm in the end we rang and someone came to take us to our room. The room was clean but the bathroom was mucky around the shower screen, there was no soap in the dispenser and the sink was on an angle without a plug so everything fell off. The bed was very uncomfortable but the sheets were clean. We only had one rather flat pillow each so we asked for 2 more which the cleaner brought to our room with the milk we asked for as there wasn't any supplied even though there are tea/coffee making facillities!! Our bin was emptied during our stay but the milk was not replaced and the room was not cleaned. We didn't experience too much pub noise. Overall we were pretty much left to our own devices.

This establishment has four things going for it:

1 - it is close to Wembley (an easy 30 minute walk)
2 - it is on a major bus route and is close to two train stations (Sudbury and Wembley Central)
3 - in the family suite the tiny bathroom has a great shower
4 - it is reasonably priced

The negatives - lousy bed and pillow, torn and worn towels, marginally clean room with no cleaning service for the five days we were there, noisy until pub closing time, no TV in room, no lounge facilities, only asian food in the area (except for Nandos and McDonalds), poor ventilation, no bedside tables or reading lights. In addition, we booked three rooms through Expedia and only two were waiting for us. What ensued was an argument between management and the agent as to who was at fault. Eventually it was sorted out, but did not instill confidence.

We could have put up with one night - game night - but should have moved on thereafter.

The fusilier is a 5 minute walk from sudbury town tube station and also provides free parking. You enter the pub and have to wait for bar staff to eventually deal with your reservation and show you to your room above the pub. The rooms are basic and include a dodgy old tv, very thin and small towels, but the bed is somewhat standard. The bathroom was very mouldy and the shower gel holder was empty, and no hand soap provided. The noise was somewhat of an annoyance, with the pub playing loud music past 1am in the middle of the week. Surprisingly the room is not cleaned through the stay, the bin wasn't emptied, towels not changed and beds not touched. Overall, a very basic accommodation which is slightly over priced. Some may prefer to pay an extra £12 to stay at the wembley ibis.

Tbh i was not sure what to expect but as it was last min and i didnt want to be paying hundreds for a room somewhere else i decided to give it a try.
Room was clean and tidy, decor not up to much granted, staff were friendly and the pub below seemed nice with reasonably priced food.
You get what you pay for and i think people are being a bit harsh on some of there comments, i was pleasently suprised (yes the window frames needed a lick of paint, the glass in the shower could of done with a rub up, the towels are not all matching and the handle on the cupboard was very loose) but overall i would recomment this hotel to anyone that needs a crash pad for a night or 2

Room Tip: Room 6 has a view of the park + an en suite
