“Would stay again due to location and price”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

If I was writing this just for the room it would get 2 out of 5.

If you're staying a few nights and get given a key for room 12 I would suggest rejecting it before you go upstairs. If you're only staying the night like we did and you're not afraid of cracked walls and ceiling and not too picky you'll be fine. It looked like the room that the hotel inspector refused to stay in. Full of mould, damp, cracked bath, cracked window etc. The bed was clean, bathroom and towels reasonably clean but there was leftover butter in the fridge from a previous guest.

Food is very nice, drinks overpriced at £3.50 for the cheapest pint. Staff were very friendly from the moment we walked in and throughout our stay. It was nice to have a large beer garden and plenty of tables under shelter if it's raining or you need some shade.

Don't go through the reception side (to the right) on arrival as there is never anyone there and you could be waiting around for a while. Go to the left and tell someone at the bar you've arrived.

Room Tip: There's a fridge in the room. Take some drinks with you to save quite a few quid.

Arrived at The Green Man ealry and was allowed to leave car in car park until after event at wembley arena.

Arrived back at the hotel/pub after having a few to drink around 8.30pm to check in and was given room number 6. We entered the room to find wallpaper falling off the walls showing plaster and cracks in the walls. The light near the door is not there and wires dangling from ceiling.

For £50 you would expect more and especially after being shown on the hotel inspector!

We went down and asked a guy casually leaning on the bar are you the landlord to which he replied yes!! Have you any other room that is better than number 6 and was told no as he was fully booked however he did offer us a refund far too quickly for our liking (if only we had not had a drink at the event as we would of been out of there like a flash!)

I have uploaded picture of the state of this room.

Staff : can not comment on staff as didn't not venture into pub apart from speaking to the landlord and checking in.

Myself and my partner stayed here for the weekend recently, the price for both of us for two nights was incredible - £68, more than half the price of anywhere else in London. It's in a good location with free parking, only a ten minute walk from Wembley park and central stations, close to the stadium and shops too. The beds were comfy, tea and coffee provided, the bar was decent and the staff very pleasant. If you're looking for a bed for the evening and don't expect to stay in the hilton this place will do the trick. The downsides were the shower, which was terrible, another guest had taken the only iron in the building (although we probably should have just brought or own) and the decor - not a massive issue for me really but the radiator was just tied to the wall and mucky hand prints were all over the painted walls...if you're just looking for a place to rest your head though the Green Man is more than adequate!

We stayed here for the first week in July for five nights..Excellent location if you are wanting the Arena or stadium 5 Mins walk to either also the designer outlet village is a great addition. We travelled each day by tube which was 10 Min walk away to central London and spent our days doing tourist things. We came back and ate in the Green Man every evening because the food is excellent and great value for money. The staff especially D and Neil go out of their way to help and nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff the atmosphere is great.

The room we had was clean tidy well decorated with a really comfy bed. Best nights sleep in ages. The bathroom was spotless and the shower worked like a dream.

This is excellent value for money, excellent location and excellent staff. We will definitely be back . See you soon. Anthony and Maria

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of May. We had read the reviews and didn't really know what to expect, but we had a fantastic stay for what we needed! We basically needed a place to sleep, as most of our days were spent out and about. The bed was EXTREMELY lumpy and we could feel springs coming through and poking us in the back, but for the price, we didn't come expecting a luxury bed. The shower was also pretty bad, as the water only trickled out. But the staff were friendly, the room was clean and the food and the atmosphere in the pub downstairs were fantastic! It is pretty far from central London if you're wanting to see the main tourist attractions, but we would leave in the morning and not come back until the evening anyways. Two tubes within walking distance. London Designer Outlet Mall within walking distance, featuring lots of restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. For the price we paid, our experience was more than fair and we would stay there again.

i expecting this place to be awful after all the reviews on here...

whilst the place still needs a lot of work, most of it is only cosmetic... there were cracks in the walls and ceiling and a bit of damp behind the bed, the sink had a crack in and the panel on the side of the bathtub needed replacing... the wardrobe needed a hair bobble to keep it closed... it would be a really nice hotel if they would sort out these cosmetic issues, but it wasn't too bad

we would stay here again as the location is ideal.... make all the rooms look like the ones the hotel inspector refurbished for you and you've cracked it!!
