My sister was getting married the following day of my dinner reservation at the Jamaica Inn. I rang to make a reservation for 10 people (including young children) I asked for the best table due to the occassion.
When we arrived all the lights were out in the restaurant except by the bar area. My brother had flown all the way from the Philippines to stay there with his wife and had a 5 night reservation this was later cancelled due to the lack of service in the Restaurant.
The rest of my family had travelled 5 hours by car to have a nice dinner reunion and celebration of my sisters wedding.
1) Nobody came to serve us
2) My brother had to take pen and paper and take all our orders, this was unbelievable!!
3)Even though they knew that he had a room reservation they wanted to take a deposit as we were ordering our food and drink.
We were all surprised that a staff member brought our food to the table and that we did not have to go to the kitchen ourselves and get it.
I live in Spain and my partner is from Mexico, we had all travelled from different regions and we were all looking forward to eating and enjoying the "legendry Jamaica Inn" which I am sorry to say will never be visited again or recommended by myself who works in the travel industry or the rest of my family.
