The Old Coach House is the only B&B we stay at in Boscastle. This is because apart from the well appointed rooms, the great breakfasts and the friendly welcome from Jackie and Geoff, they really make you feel as if you are sharing their home with them and not just a paying guest. It's the little touches that make the Old Coach House stand out; from the complimentary toiletries in the bathrooms to the offer of fresh milk in your room and the opportunity to buy cold drinks and snacks (crisps and chocolate). Just when you think that Jackie and Geoff have thought of everything, they think of something else to make your stay even more comfortable.
Many thanks Jackie and Geoff, we look forward to seeing you again later this year.

A very nice B&B at the top of Boscastle. We were made most welcome by Jackie and family, with a cup of tea and slice of cake whilst the (excellent) breakfast orders and sign in papers were sorted.
The room we had was very clean, well equipped and comfortable with a superb, well stocked on-suite shower room and toilet, and we had access to Wifi - brilliant!
Our only gripes (and the reason it didn't get 5 stars) were: 1. Our room was downstairs and near to the dining area / rear car park access. We had come in very tired and wet and there seemed to be a lot of chidren running around in the dining area - probably something to do with it being Halloween and it IS a family run B&B, but this might have influenced my Wife and I had we known(nothing against kids, we just dont have children and aren't used to being around them).
2. Troublesome guests. As we were so close to the back door, we were woken by one of the guests coming in as if he owned the place in the wee hours, followed by his wife calling him - a bit faulty towers really and not the fault of Jackie.

To sum up, please stay here it's great especially if you are a family, however if you are a light sleeper think twice about staying in the Minster or Cambeak rooms - otherwise it's one of the best and we will definately come back

Room Tip: Minster or Cambeek rooms are downstairs and easily accessable, but can be a pain if late night guest...

In Late August/Early September my family from Canada was visiting me in England. As we travelled around Devon & Cornwall, we decided that it was time to find a place to stay when we reached Boscastle late in the afternoon. We asked a shop in town if they could recommend anywhere for the night but none of them were free. We literally stumbled upon "The Old Coach House" by accident but karma was on our side!
Jackie & her husband were fabulous! We were a group of 3 adults but only wanted one room. Jackie showed the room to my Dad & he took it on the spot!
She welcomed us with tea & scones with jam & cream in the lounge on a cold & foggy (typical English Summer day) and even booked us a reservation at the pub nearby - The Napolean Inn - for dinner. (which was also outstanding!)

The room was absolutely SPOTLESS! We could've eaten off the bathroom floor it was that clean! The house was cozy & warm and it felt like Home!

Breakfast the next morning was SPECTACULAR! And as someone who suffers from Coeliac disease, they were MORE than able to accommodate for my dietary requirements!

We travelled around the next weekend & did not plan to stay in Boscastle at The Old Coach House originally, but as our day progressed we decided to go back - 1 weekend later!

I will definitely be back as I've fallen in love with Boscastle and that definitely has to do with our experience with The Old Coach House!

We stayed for three nights at the end of September.
We were made very welcome, the owners were away on holiday but we were looked after very well by both Sarah and Matthew.
Our room was very clean, the breakfasts were amazing and we had a key to come and go as we pleased.
We would stay again and would recommend this place to anyone.

lovely welcome, cheerful friendly hostess.Offered tea on arrival, which was accompanied by lovely warm scones with cornish cream, yummy. Rooms were spotless, and roomy with shower /bath.Our host was very quick to book us a table at a nearby pub for an excellent meal for the evening.Breakfast was pre-ordered the previous evening,to prevent wastage etc,a very good idea.Superb location for exploring the village of Boscastle and the coastal paths and local walks.Unfortunatly we could only stay one night, but hope to return, thanks.
