We are from Oakham, Rutland but are staying in Charlestown for 2 weeks this year as 1 week last year was not long enough! Our second Sunday was spent having lunch at Boscastle farm shop before having a look around Boscastle itself. The Ruby Red beef roast dinner was delicious and extremely good value. We were too full so bought some lovely cake to eat later. The people working in the café were very friendly, helpful and pleasant. It is well worth a visit and is advantageous to book especially for Sunday lunch as we did. I cannot believe that it is 10 years since the floods but it is good (from what I have read) that it turned out to be a positive disaster and that things have only got better for the people of Boscastle. It was pure coincidence that we decided to go the day after the 10th anniversary but a lovely day we had.
