What a treat to find such a lovely little cafe in Callington - I had given up all hope of finding such a place. The food is homely and old fashioned comfort food, well made and tasty. Prices are good and service is polite and friendly. I love looking at all the item around the room and they are great ice breakers as far as conversation is concerned. Good job.

Benedicts Tea Tea room is a little haven away from the hustle and bustle of Callington's main street. The staff are welcoming, friendly and cannot do enough to make you happy. Freshly baked cakes and biscuits, a selection of teas that would make Claridges envious and peaceful relaxing atmosphere. Not sure where the reviewer Sharon H from Plymouth went to but it could not have been where we went. This is not our first visit either so I would ignore that review and you can be guaranteed an enjoyable tea time experience. We are already planning another group visit, last time it was 14 next time it will be 16.

having visited 3 times during the summer months, and enjoyed the experience, popped into benedicts again this week with a friend, what a shock, the tearoom was airless, the walls were covered in mould, even the sign on the door had mould spots on them, horrendus where food is being served,

Benedict's is situated in New Street, directly opposite the bus stop. Stepping inside you go back in time. The place is decorated with all sorts of interesting artefacts. Loose tea, strainers and bone china all combine to make a delicious traditional cup of tea. On the sideboard glass domes cover a selection of tempting looking homemade cakes. I had lunch with a friend. There was a pleasant atmosphere and most tables were occupied.
We choose the soup and sandwich combination which was tasty, filling and well presented.
The prices are reasonable. I will be visiting Benedict's again.
