I needed one night in Camborne for business and the Tyacks Hotel was perfect – cheaper than a chain hotel, a large, comfortable bedroom and a decent bathroom. The pub downstairs did a perfectly good dinner, and breakfast the following morning was large and well-cooked.

Spent a few days in Devon as we were having our bathroom refurbished. We were so disappointed with the quality of accommodation we decided to return to Cornwall for our last night. Tyacks did not disappoint - lovely spacious room, friendly staff and an awesome breakfast!

I have stayed at this hotel many times and will keep going back as it close to where i need to be for work when I am in Cornwall. I have always found the staff to be very helpful and polite. The rooms that i have had have always been nice and clean with plenty of space and good size desk to work on. The food has always been to a very high standard both in the evening and in the morning. I could not really find any faults which is why i have recomended Tyacks to my work for other staff to use when they are in the area.
Looking foward to going back again.

We had an evening for our local sports team..excellent menu, plenty of choice.
Food arrived freshly cooked , piping hot and plenty of it..would recommend the Chicken NewYorker , steaks are really good value as well.
Staff are friendly and helpful, service is swift and friendly...a really excellent evening.
The beers are good as well , with plenty of choice.

My wife and I stayed in the Honeymoon which has a beautiful 4 poster bed and a fantastic roll top bath in the room. The first thing that struck me about the room was that not only was it impeccably clean but also very well maintained. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and usually things stand out like rust, damp, mould, chipped paint etc but nothing of the sort here. My wife thought the his and hers sinks were fantastic. Nice large flatscreen TV too.

Now on to the food. Friday night had a special steak menu. My wife ordered an 8 ounce sirloin, well done and I ordered a 10 ounce ribeye, bleu. They were cooked to perfection. The chef should be commended, it is so hard for us bleu steak lover to get one cooked properly and they did just that. Best meal I have had in a long time at a very reasonable price.

The wine, I looked at the wine list which was a good list but remembered I had been told that they had previously served a lovely Argentine Malbec. I asked the waitress, who in turn asked her manager and they went to the cellar and actually found us a bottle tucked away, the last one in the building we heard. You can't ask for better service than that.

No complaints about any noise whilst we slept. In the morning we went for breakfast. They had a selection of cereals, yoghurts, fruits, juices etc to help yourself too whilst waiting for your order. We both had the cooked breakfast which was very generous I went for the "Jacks" breakfast consisting of two bacon, two sausage (lovely thick proper sausages too), two hogs pudding, two eggs, two hash browns, two fried slice, mushrooms, tomato and beans, served with toast and preserves. My wife had the "jennys" which was one of each item. I couldn't finish!

We will definitely be returning and will definitely be booking the honeymoon suite again. Great staff, great food, great room, it was a real treat to stay there. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We travelled from Nottingham to Cornwall by train for a funeral. The journey took 8 hours so by the time we got to the hotel we were exhausted. We were greeted by Natalie who couldn't have been more helpful. The room we were given initially was very nice but up many flights of stairs which were too much for us. So we were moved to the family suite which was huge and just up one flight so much better for us. The hotel was very warm and welcoming. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The food was good and plentiful. All in all it made our stay bearable.

Room Tip: It can be noisy at the weekends so ask for a quiet room if you are staying then. The family suite is...

My wife and I travelled to Camborne recently looking to buy or rent a property in the area and we based ourselves at the Tyacks Hotel. What a wonderful choice. From the outset we found the staff very friendly and accommodating with helpful answers and suggestions to all our questions. Our double room was spacious and tastefully decorated and was fully equipped and supplied with the necessary odds and ends. The bar, restaurant and breakfast facilities were all equally nice and the staff were all courteous and nothing was too much trouble. Although just a short stay we both thoroughgly enjoyed ourselves and most certainly will recommend it to friends and family without hesitation. Thank you and well done.
