We have just returned from a brilliant 5 night stay in Villa 8. The property was absolutely perfect for what we wanted - very clean and fully equipped. Set amongst lovely scenery and easy reach from some incredible beaches and historic sites.Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting North Cornwall.

We had a fantastic holiday in Villa 8, the accommodation has everything you need, beds and sofa are comfy, kitchen fully equipped with loads of stuff and there were even a few games and dvds. Everything was clean and the bedding was lovely quality. The Villa is set in a fantastic location, I travelled on my own with my three children all aged under 9 and was pleased to be able to let them go and play on the park or swings confident it was safe. For anyone with a Pokémon fan in the famiy there is even a Poke-stop just outside of the hotel grounds much to the delight of my son! The pool area is lovely, it was very cold in the pool but my boys still wanted to swim every day, rain or shine! Gillian was very helpful with the booking process and supplied lots of information, there was also lots of leaflets in the Villa with places to go. Thanks Gillian for a fantastic holiday :)

Dear Jodi,
thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to post this review.
I am really happy you and your sons had a lovely holiday and that you felt safe enough for your sons to play in the grounds. That is exactly what we want.
I am also glad the accommodation was comfy, decent quality and had everything you needed.
I did not know about the Poke stop but I know it is something that many follow, so it is very interesting to find that out.
I am pleased to be of help in providing information about what to see and do.
Please come and stay again.
Best wishes to you and your family,
Gill :)

We stayed in another of Gill's properties last year on the site and enjoyed it so much that we returned. Villa 8 is fabulous - comfortable and well equipped for a young family to use as abase to explore the beaches of North Cornwall. Like last year, my boys loved the amenities available on the site and made good use of the pool and the play areas. They were sad to leave their 'holiday house' with the youngest crying as we left! We have promised them a return visit in October!! I cannot recommend this holiday chalet enough, the owner goes out of her way to ensure that there is a wealth of ideas for places to visit and is in touch before you arrive to make sure you have all the information you might need. We will definitely be back again next year!

Dear Caroline,
thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to write a review and especially for your brilliant words. Wow.
I will most certainly also pass your words on to those who help ensure the accommodation is comfortable, allowing families to get on with exactly what they want to do, namely have a relaxing, safe, peaceful time.
I have children too and know how important it is they are catered for and to receive praise from your children is accolade indeed.
I am sorry he was sad but yes please to staying with us again. Best wishes to you all, Gill

“Great wee getaway”
Reviewed 11 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We stayed in the villa for 4 nights, the owner was in contact with us from the moment of booking and gave us lots of fabulous information regarding the local area. The site is on a sloping plot so although not many steps the oaths can be quite steep in places. The villa was well equipped for our stay and my little boy loved the games he found in the bedroom... He's quite the expert at dominoes now! Both bedrooms were clean and tidy and the lounge area although small was more than adequate for our needs, the kitchen was clean and very well equipped including things such as tea towels, kitchen foil etc. The bathroom is dated but clean and bright and well equipped with a lovely warm shower. The hotel grounds were lovely, however some facilities were not available the week we stayed ( please see review on lanteglos lodges and villas ). This did not stop us from having a great stay. The masons arms is worth a visit for dinner and Padstow and port Isaac are a short car drive away. All in all A great wee place to stay

“Peaceful, tranquil and very relaxing”
Reviewed 1 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Wonderful little chalet with everything we required. Very clean, well equipped with a lovely comfortable bed. A great base to explore from but even better to return after a busy day exploring Cornwall.
Birdsong every morning and evening, even the odd Bat flying around....it was great.
Great to have a hotel so close and the food was fab!!!! Also the Cornish Cider was excellent and we only had a 2 minute walk back to our chalet!!!
I would certainly recommend this lovely place.

“Lovely little chalet in a peaceful beautiful setting”
Reviewed 20 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The booking process was very easy and the owner was very prompt to respond with booking details. The chalet was nice and clean and the kitchen was fully equipped with all the utensils you could need for a self-catering holiday. We used the pool several times and ate dinner in the hotell's restaurant which was very convenient. Whilst the games room is a bit shabby the grounds are beautifully kept and it was so peaceful. It was only a 15min drive to the nearest beach which had something for everyone. It was a great base to explore North Cornwall

I am very pleased the property was clean, equipped and had everything needed....the games room is being renovated as there is an ongoing programme ensuring all aspects of the grounds and facilities are kept up to a high standard. Also that the property was as we stated in easy quick reach of many glorious places in North Cornwall. I am also glad I am doing my job well in responding with all the details my guests require in order to ensure they have the best possible stay. Thank you for taking the time and trouble to give feedback as to what we are doing and what we might do to improve things. Best wishes

“Attractive Mid-Century Modern Chalet set in beautiful forest grounds!”

This compact holiday home had a spacious feel and was well equipped, whilst retaining a lot of well-maintained original features.

Set in the grounds of the Lanteglos hotel we had access to the hotel’s restaurant and swimming pool which were set in beautiful landscaped gardens.

The location is ideal for touring North Cornwall with easy access to Bude, Tintagel, Boscastle, Port Isaac and Padstow, and we would definitely return as our Whitsun stay was very reasonably priced!

Thank you very much for your fantastic review. It is not just us that works to ensure the accommodation is as promised but the many people in the hotel and the grounds. My son loves the swimming pool and we love nothing more than to sit in the grounds and perhaps have a coffee and plan the events of the day or have a meal in the outdoor space, or a glass of wine in the evening or just unwind from the day. What I like is it suits all and we are very pleased you enjoyed your stay. Please come and stay with us again. Xxxx
