We are staying at Trevose Golf Club, and decided to try the restaurant. It was first class, the view alone is worth going, we managed to get a table by the window. The staff where very professional and all with a smile.
The food was cooked to perfection and hot. For starters I had tempura fish and wife the salmon, for mains I had the steak, my wife had the sole both dishes looked and tasted great and where good sized portions. The menu choice was good, they also have a bar menu which can be served in the restaurant. Try it you won't be disappointed.

This was our first visit to Constantines having planned to go several time since it's opening. We have a holiday home nearby and are used to the wide range of excellent restaurants in the area.

Let me start by saying the views are spectacular and worth the visit alone.

The restaurant decor is a little bland and indeed the more casual restaurant (Colts) has a little more warmth. Clearly trying to be modern but just not pulled it off.

We were given the Constantine menu which is fairly short and were confused by hearing other dishes being offered around us. Turns out we had only been given one of the two menus available.

I had Tempura followed by Goan Fish curry. Tempura was tasty but on the small side. Curry was good. My wife had mussels followed by fish and chips which looked good but apparently the mushy peas were awful.

Service was a little mixed.

A bit disappointed overall. Will try the more casual option next time.

Excellent meal at good value. Plaice especially tasty as were the squid nibbles. Good service. Will come back again but only if they turn the lights down in the evening, as it is like eating in a light house! Decor ok but Ikea influenced, with chairs and curtains lacking character.

Rarely does one experience a faultless dining experience, but my wife and I did today! Everything about our visit for Sunday lunch was exceptional. On arrival we had a drink at the bar and a very welcoming barman provided an excellent Pinot Grigio Rose and an excellent pint of St. Austell, Tribute bitter. Our table had a superb view over the golf course and the service was first class. We both had the roast chicken main course and it was outstandingly good. Cauliflower cheese, superb roast potatoes, beautifully cooked carrots and green vegetables, yorkshire pudding and bread sauce and delicous gravy. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Our desserts were outstandingly good and beautifully presented. Service was superb, the staff were very attentive and the whole experience was first class. And what excellent value for money. I recommend this restaurant without any criticism whatsoever. Well done and thank you . In a world of increasing mediocrity, this was a great experience.

Non-golfers are welcome at this club-house restaurant, brightly decorated, and with sea views. It is well away from the bustle of Padstow.

Early evening was quiet, but booking is advisable, especially if requesting a sea view.

Service was relaxed and helpful, but one of the servers was not quite up to standard.

Food was superb, and my Goan fish curry did have the correct accompaniments. However, the baked scallops were sitting in a sauce watery from the bed of spinach.

£100 total for 2, including 3 courses & wine.
