The cottage felt like a home from home. It was extremely well equipped with everything we could ever need, it didn’t matter what we accidentally left behind, we found it here! Speakers for our music, a little sewing kit, we even found a spare HDMI cable to plug the laptop to the tv! There was also games, a kite, a beautiful tea set, books etc all in little nooks and crannies around the place for anyone to use.
Every evening we turned on the twinkly lights on the tree out the front, the fairy lights in the conservatory and the ones in the garden, lit the fire and put some music on. It felt so magical that we didn’t feel the need to go out every night, though when we did venture out the local pubs were a 4 minute walk away! The Cornishman also had a free pool table which was a lovely a surprise.
Despite going in November and it being fairly quiet everywhere, it’s still a beautiful place to visit and the chilly weather didn’t put us off walking to Crantock beach, or waiting for the tide to go out so we could walk to Newquay for fish and chips.
I really can’t fault the cottage and you can tell it’s very well loved by the owners. The little touches such as underfloor heating in the new bathroom and sumptuous bedding (I slept so well!) show how much they want everyone staying to feel as comfortable as possible, so thank you for letting us share your gorgeous cottage and I can’t wait to come back.
