This cottage is a little gem. Beautiful position and finished to a really high standard. Carolyn was really helpful throughout the booking process.
We’d love to visit again....
We decided to have a week away in Cornwall and we’re not disappointed with our choice of cottage. Beautifully equipped, warm, clean, cosy with fantastic views over the sea and harbour. We slept so well in a very comfortable bed and were ready to explore the area. Our hosts welcomed us with a lovely bottle of wine and a basket full of logs. We went to Mevagissey, St Ives and Marizion and loved them all. Loved the wild seas and the village shop served lovely coffee and scones. The only slight drawback was carrying all our luggage up and down steps to the cottage but we were able to park close by and it’s a small price to pay for such a lovely week. Thank you Carolyn! We loved your cottage!
Cottage is in a well situated location close to beaches and village amenities. Well equipped village shop, excellent fish and chip shop, wonderful coastal walks.
The cottage itself has been thoughtfully decorated and is extremely comfortable.
We have returned to it on several occasions and can't fault it.
In the area there is plenty to see and do for all ages.
Mevagissy is close by and offers some good watering holes and restaurants.
There is information in the cottage of many places of interest.
What a perfect location for a family break in October half term! We loved the sea views, the easy walk down to the beaches, the wonderful village post office - so helpful, and with a much bigger range than you might expect from a post office (including pasties and take away hot drinks!), and the access straight onto the coastal path for stunning walks. The cottage itself had everything that we needed for a comfortable week, and was very cosy, warm, clean and well equipped. The only little down-side (hence 4 stars and not 5) was the lack of private parking - which I know the owners have tried to address. We ended up parking at the local hotel - which was fine - but involved a walk to and from the property, which could I guess be a problem for some.
We had a lovely week exploring the area from this cottage as the Eden Project and Heligan were very close, plus other beautiful beaches etc. The house was very comfortable to come back to at the end of the day, and the views from the front garden over the harbour - lovely. Our dog came too but had to be kept on a lead at all times as both front and back gardens are not fenced/secure. Also we parked our car up the hill away from the house as the layby was full, but not a problem for us as we enjoyed the walk. All in all a good trip thank you in a very friendly place with a local shop, cafe, restaurant, pub etc.
