We have just come back from a great long weekend staying at Ocean Drive. Things started well when Jo took the time to call me back immediately after she had sent her initial email, saying they were full, to tell me in person she had just had a cancellation and we could have a room.
We were met on the Friday afternoon by Jo and we were treated to a very warm welcome.
Our front room (double ensuite) overlooking the front garden and up to the hills beyond was spacious and spotlessley clean.
We opted for the "full English" on all mornings (with juice, cereal and toast to accompany) which was nicely presented and very tasty and certainly set us up for the day. I think Jo would of done us a lighter breakfast (poached egg etc) if we had asked.
The Breakfast Room was light and airy with views over the side and front gardens.

Ocean Drive is well placed for the beaches in the local area (one (Gwithian) just a few minutes drive up the road) and its only 10 minutes into Hayle and then just a short trip (7 miles or so) further on to St.Ives. (Tip for future visitors - parking is a bit of a nightmare in St Ives in peak season - get the train in from St Erth or Lelant, its a lovely 15 min ride along the coast with great views)

We would thoroughly recommend Ocean Drive (and already have done to our parents) and look forward to staying down with Jo again soon.

We founf Ocean Drive by chance and WHAT a chance! We got such a WARM and WELCOMING reception that a few days after our first night there, we went back for a 2nd! Jo and her parents were so friendly and helpful, the accommodation was clean and they ran the'extra mile' for us - finding honey especially for my husband and Jo went out of her way to give us detailed info about a trip round the 'craggy coastal route', as she called it. This was 'OUT OF THIS WORLD' and we would have missed it had it not been for Jo offering us the info and taking the time to go through the map with us and itemise places of especial interest. Jo's Mum also told us of a nearby Organic Farm where we got a delicious cream tea and, after that marveloous experience, booked up for Sunday lunch, which was EXCELLENT! If we are in the area again, and we do intend to be, we wouldn't hesitate but to stay at Ocean Drive again.

Room Tip: We stayed in both the Green Room and the Blue room and both were spacious, clean and tidy and had al...

We stayed at Revive at 35 Jo's self catering cottage which we would all recommend without reservation. We loved sitting at the end of the garden and watching the waves. It was great to be so close to the beach, but yet be quiet amd peaceful. An unbeatable location. The cottage itself is comfortable and clean. Unfortunately, the weather was so good we did not light the fire! There is a small shop nearby, which we found handy. The pub "The bucket of blood" is great for food and is within walking distance. Buses to St. Ives etc stop nearby. We had a great Sunday carvery at the Godolphin Arms ar Marazion. Minack theatre, Mousehole and St.Ives are all nearby. We loved seal spotting at Godrevy. 30+. A great location for walking.

The aim of my trip was to go surfing at the north end of the beach which was 10-15 min walk away through some beautiful dunes where giant caterpillars, skylarks could be seen/hard.

Before I arrived I accidently left my phone on the train and the owners were very helpful and let me use their phone and laptop to sort it out.

Breakfast was substantial and I got a lovely peaceful nights sleep.

Would definitely go there again.
