Location is so fab! The mini shop on the side is reasonably priced and the staff are lovely. We will defo stay again, you need your own transport though, as its a bit out the way,the best value for money ever, peace and quiet. We had fantastic time.

We stayed here for two weeks in September and were treated to some fantastic sunsets while we were there. The views from the bungalows overlooking the bay are also fantastic and make this a lovely place to stay.
On the negative side, the bungalows are very tired and dated. The bathroom desperately needs updating and the sofas were very uncomfortable due to collapsed foams. The beds were also uncomfortable and we ended up with bad backs. To try and make them more comfortable we tried putting the spare duvets under the sheets. This helped but all in all it wasn't brilliant, particularly as the sheets were at the end of their life as well with holes in them.
Direct access to the wonderful sandy beach is a major positive and there is a good children's playground. We also used the swimming pool a couple of times - bit chilly but nice to have. Took advantage of the free wifi while we were there as well.
Friendly service and very quick to sort out any problems. Would return because of the location and if upgrading was done this would be the icing on the cake.

Room Tip: The bungalows looked more appealing than the chalets. The lodges looked fantastic. Camping also lo...

Thank you very much for your review and I am glad you enjoyed your stay in one of our bungalows. Over the last two years, we have greatly improved most of our bungalows to include new roofs, double glazing, new heating, tv and complete redecoration. From your description, I can assume you were staying in one of the last few that had not been upgraded. I am sorry if you found the beds to be uncomfortable, some people prefer firmer mattresses and some softer - we do have alternative mattresses which we could have swapped for you. We hope to see you at Beachside again soon.

We stayed here on the recommendation of some friends who come every year without fail! Having looked at the site on their website we were aware that some of the chalets were quite dated, but that didn't bother us too much. When we arrived we were amazed by the beautiful view of the sea that greeted us as we drove over the dunes - it really is spectacular. The receptionists were very friendly and although we had to wait until 4pm for our keys they were happy for us to wait in the pool area (which is lovely by the way!) and notified us as soon as the chalets were ready. We had asked to be put in a chalet near to our friends (who were on the front row) and they obliged by giving us a chalet directly behind theirs which was great!

Yes, the chalets are dated - and the decor a bit evil but they were very clean. The shower was hot and good pressure and the little verandah area was very handy for drying the wetsuits. The view of the sea from the kitchen and living room was lovely and it was great to be able to walk down to the vast gorgeous sandy beach within minutes.

As the weather deteriorated during the week, we never got to use the swimming pool which was a shame as it was really lovely. We did have a game of 'pool' though in the games room.

All in all we were very impressed with the site, had a very good week and enjoyed it very much!

Room Tip: The chalets on the front row have the best view across the sea.

Camped here for two nights 16-18 September. Friendly reception staff and lovely clean site.
We were given a leaflet on arrival advertising 'happy hour' type offers in the bar so decided to take advantage of this and were looking forward to going there in the evening; unfortunately the bar was 'out' of all the drinks offered on the leaflet except for spirits which we didn't want; the lager was full price (not to worry) but then the barrel went of that too after pouring one pint. We didn't bother the second night and bought some good Cornish ale from the local shop and had a drink in the tent.
Shower blocks and toilets were spotless and the location is spot on for the beautiful beach.
Will definately go back to Beachside again but probably in the summer when they cater for holiday makers better.

Thank you for your review and glad that you had a good stay. Unfortunately you visited during the last couple of days that the bar was open this season, and that is why we didn’t have all drinks available. We hope to see you again next year – any other time in the season and we will have a fully stocked bar for you!

Stayed in one of the front chalets which offered stunning sea views and sunsets, close proximity to the best 3 mile sandy beach in Cornwall for kayaking and surfing (NB a steep walk down) and all that we needed for our 2 week stay. 'Tis such a great location that the deterioration in the weather in the second week didn't stop us enjoying the spectacular beach, sand dune and cliff top coastal walks. Plenty of cafes en route for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea. Spent much of our time close to the site just chilling and enjoying the clear air and spectacular views and used it as a base for a little exploring further afield too. The day we were due to leave was so gorgeous that Lisa very kindly arranged for us to extend our stay by one night which in effect gave us 2 more days. Sadly when we are returning in January Beachside, like all the Hayle sea view parks, are closed so we will have to wait until Easter to enjoy all Beachside has to offer. Tip: the beach is at its best when the tide is out so would suggest prinint out a tide timetable for your trip before you go so you can plan your days before the lifeguards post tide times at 10am each morning.

Room Tip: If you are staying in a chalet, although they all have sea views, the ones at the front are the firs...

Stayed here for 4 nights camping and really enjoyed our stay. Large sized pitch with good drainage. Facilities always clean and well maintained. Always able to get a hot shower, although hair driers not very powerful so you might want to take your own. Sockets available in shower room. Close to the beach with lovely views of st Ives. About 15 min drive to st Ives itself but you could always get the train from hayle. Highly recommended.

A lovely, friendly campsite just a 10 minute walk from a gorgeous beach. Beach access quite steep but well worth it when you get there. Had a fab time bodyboarding and lovely walks on the clean sands. Fab views over the bay and St Ives from most accommodation locations. Pleasant surroundings and spotless facilities. Would definitely return!
