Our first time at Beachside Holiday Park, and we were not disappointed.Stayed in a Dune Lodge, which as accomodation goes was fantastic sooo much better than a caravan.Sea view from the lounge window and patio, loads of space, clean and bright plenty of storage and a decent fridge freezer.car park space next to the lodge, rotary drier to put your wet clothes on.
Excellent swimming pool and sun lounger area,
Brilliant and friendly staff. All this and access to one of the best beaches anywhere, great location, what more could you want....

We've just returned from our second home and as last year, it's amazing!
We were introduced 2 years ago by my brother who's been visiting for years and we decided to try beachside out as we'd been to another site previously.
As soon as you get over the hill you see an amazing sight, golden sands and the blue sea, it's truly stunning!

We camped again this year with 5 children and 3 other sets of families (my brother and friends) it was calm and peaceful as always.
The site is very well maintained, clean and looked after and the café/shop and bar are great, for price and entertainment, try the pizza's out from the takeaway they're delicious btw!
The staff are also lovely and very approachable with any needs or queries you have.
The pool is also great for days when you want to lounge around plus they have a lifeguard in the pool area at all times.
The toilets, showers, family/disabled room and washing area are all kept very clean and well stocked with toilet roll.

Beachside is also in a great location in Cornwall, we were out everyday travelling around and exploring, whether it was the air show, beaches, flambards or towns.

We also have 2 disabled children and as last year the youngest coped well getting around to the parks and beach (visually impaired) and our older child also coped very well getting around, normally in a major maclaren with ear defenders on! (Visually impaired, autism, epilepsy, brain damage) so if you're worried about taking someone with you who is disabled or you are disabled yourself, we were able to access where we needed to, I hope this helps!

We've also booked to return again next year and I'm already on countdown mode!
Thanks Beachside xx

Beachside is situated in a wonderful position overlooking the amazing beach and sea - however the chalets are dreadful and not fit for a family week away. I can appreciate the rate per week is fairly low but peeling paper and water running into the covered patio area is unacceptable. My towels and clothes were rained on inside!!. The gutters running through the chalet overflowed continually and we could hear everything next door due to the gutters leaving holes between chalets- woken at 6am each morning. The kitchen was dire - old and very tatty. The bathroom - the worst I have had to endure anywhere in the world - check my photos. The inside patio area had large patio slabs with big gaps in between certainly not suitable if you have small children. I can not describe how awful the accommodation is but have been told it is due to be refurbished this winter. The staff are very, very nice and when my sons ball was stuck on the roof they came immediately. The fridge would not close when we arrived and they did fix this straight away. The entertainment is dreadful and my son tried to play football as per flyer when we arrived - however he was told he couldn't play because he was too big!! a number of other children were also turned away. The games room is tiny. The site also does not have a card machine but they do give credit at the shop - I can't believe in this day and age no card facilities. If I hadn't been there with some wonderful friends I would have probably turned round and gone home. The chalets are like a prison camp. Please check all my photos.

Room Tip: What can I say - is there a good room?

I am sorry if our chalets were not to your taste. We have thousands of happy families every year at Beachside and many return year after year to stay in our holiday chalets. There is no wallpaper in the chalets, so I am unsure about your description of “peeling paper”. The covered patio is described as an indoor/outdoor space on our website and has a conservatory style roof, with an intentional ventilation gap at one end. If the leaks and condition of the accommodation were as bad as you mentioned I find it surprising that you did not come and mention it to us during your stay, in which case we would have rectified any genuine concerns.

If you had mentioned your concerns to us during your stay, we could have offered you options for alternative accommodation, subject to availability.

We positively market Beachside as having a less commercial and more relaxing atmosphere – and this is reflected in the type of entertainment on offer. All our entertainment has been very well received this year and we receive regular compliments from our guests.

We have a wide range of accommodation at Beachside and believe that all offer excellent value for money. If you prefer more luxury accommodation I would recommend our Dune Lodges or Seafront Lodges and I am sure you would have had a fantastic stay with us.

Me and my family have come to beachside for many years - my father since it first opened, with the original owners; and myself since the early 90s. I have to say that like a fine wine, it has only got better with age. Amazing views, and a growing number of deluxe accommodation (we did chalet plus this year. Bungalow before. And normal chalets for years prior). Every visit brings nostalgia and a relaxing family holiday. The pool and some of the things to play on in the park are still the same but kept renovated (pool esp). The staff are like family. They are really friendly: from the hardworking admin, bar staff (and cleaners) who come to say hello, or tend promptly to any queries; to the delightfully kind family who run the shop providing amazing food (esp delectable pizzas and massive pasties at a reasonable price). Even the security guard walked me home. Time spent here always goes too quickly and I will always come here again and again because there is no place quite like it. It really is makes a family holiday coming to a place like this because you forget time and the tele and spend time together enjoying your surroundings. Do ignore the ignorant reviews, else you will miss out on a gem of a place. The sun shines brighter down here than anywhere else in the world (when it comes out lol)

See you soon beachside staff xxx
