Stayed here for a week in August with my family. Only has the basic chalet but was sufficient.

I arrived here around 11am even though check-in isn't until 4pm, was allowed to park my car onsite & use the facilities.

The chalet could do with a refurbishment however it was still fit for purpose. Spacious living area and plenty of storage.

The beach was only a few minutes was down the very steep sand dunes but well worth it. Plenty of lifeguard stations dotted along the long golden sand. Could hire water sports equipment from the onsite shop too.

The pool is outdoor but is heated with a lifeguard too.

The bar has entertainment some nights, wishy washy was the best in my eyes, not only entertaining for the children but adults too.

Glorious sunsets over St Ives.

A couple of potential improvements in my eyes would be:
1) More sun beds around the pool, not enough at busy periods
2) Roof to open on the indoor/outdoor space as would be a really good sun trap on the breezy days.

Overall enjoyed our stay & already looking to book for next year once got holidays approved at work.

All staff were very friendly and helpful. On arrival in our dune lodge we spotted some dry sick up the side of the bed. This was reported and dealt with immediately.
The dune lodge is very spacious and comes with all equipment for self catering.
There is 2 double beds and 2 bunk beds in 2 rooms.
On site there is a small bar and shop. The shop does not stock much but the town of hayle is about a mile away.
There is a small outdoor pool which does get quite congested.
There is no entertainment team but small local acts, mainly singers, perform in the bar.
You can hire kayaks, surfboards, wetsuits etc, which are all reasonably priced. I would suggest getting a wet suit because the sea is quite cold.
The beach is within walking distance and is beautiful. It stretches for 3 miles and is excellent for body boarding and water sports.
The site is basic but makes a great Base for exploring cornwall.
We would definitely visit again and we're sad to come home.

Would definitely stay here again, 4 adults & 2 children, we hired 2 dune lodges and were delighted with the accommodation, clean & comfortable and certainly spacious enough to accommodate 6 of us (we tended to congregate into one lodge for breakfast & evenings) Loved being so close to such a wonderful beach but didn't go down there often enough as we were busy exploring the (equally) other lovely parts of Cornwall. Beachside was recommended to us by a work colleague and I must say we weren't disappointed.

Wow 1st time staying at the beachside and the apartment was amazing, far exceeds our expectations it was beautifully renovated. Plenty of room for me my
Partner and 2 children (6&2) we had free wifi and although we had to pay for our electricity it only cost us £5 for the week that was after using the washer 5 times, cooking most nights and 3 people showering every day maybe twice a day so definitely reasonable. The dunes and beach are fantastic yep getting back up defiantly was funny especially with a 2 & 6 year old wind breakers picnics bags and towels but all worth it for the spectacular views. Shop was good and reasonably priced. Didn't go in he bar so really can't comment on that. The staff are brilliant. Back to our apartment we really couldn't fault it, if we had to improve anything it would be the beds they are very firm and not enough pillows but everyone is different. The inside space or as I called it the greenhouse got your clothes dry within a couple of hours which was amazing when drying towels and this kids loved playing games in there at the table. Over all beachside and their apartments are great. Lastly after we left and got back home we realised we left our children's teddies (narla & simba) the filling morning we rang and the lady on reception was great and kept them safe till a friend collected them. So thank you so much my children was delighted u was keeping them safe but jealous they was getting another week at the beachside haha thanks again beachside and see you soon xx

This was our second visit to Beachside with our four children (13,11,9 and 7), and it was just as fantastic a hoiliday as the first. We stayed in a chalet plus, which is basic but has everything that you need. The indoors patio is perfect for hanging up wet-suits to dry and leaving body-boards and surf-boards in! It is only a five minute walk down to the beach where you are greated by the most gorgeous stretch of sand and sea. Lifeguards are on duty between 10 and 6. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - nothing was ever too much trouble. The entertainment that was on in the bar was good family fun - the children all enjoyed the quiz and Wishy-Washy the magician! The swimming pool on site is heated and clean and there is a life-guard on duty the hours that it is open.
St Ives, Penzance, Lands-End to name but a few are all within easy reach of Beachside and reception has a wealth of information for other places of interest to visit.
We will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend Beachside to any family wanting to visit Cornwall.

Room Tip: Book early and ask for a sea view.
