I just love this place and have been visiting for years firstly with my children and now with my grandchildren.

The park is well laid out, clean with great exhibits. The children and me thoroughly enjoyed the presentation and displays.

Off to Cornwall for a holiday? Then a day spent here will not be a day wasted.

We visited Paradise Park on a sunny day midweek following the Easter holidays with our two young children (3yrs & 1yr) and our 75 yrs old grandfather. The park is well organised, clean and well kept. Our children were captivated from the moment we walked in with all kinds of bright colours birds and lots more on display. There is a little train ride that the children loved but we were a little disappointed with as it is a VERY small journey around a very small part of the park. This was the only disappointment of the day though with lots more for the children to be involved in. The farm animal area is great, and later in the day they gave out carrot slices for the children to feed to the various animals there including piglets, pigmy goats sheep and donkeys. There are shows/talks throughout the day as you'd expect in a park like this however we were really impressed with the audience participation. Our eldest was picked to throw fish for the penguins and end of day free flying bird show they had birds that would land on your arm to collect a pound coin to donate to a conservation charity. They also have an enclosure with lots of birds free flying where you can buy nectar to feed the birds. The bright coloured birds land on your arms and often on your head to drink the nectar! The children absolutely loved this and it was great to see the shock and joy on their little faces. Have your pound coins ready to buy more nectar though as you won't be able to resist buying more to continue the fun. In other shows children were chosen to have a snowy owl free fly to land on their arm and also a selection of parrots in another show. A free flying bird show say eagles and other birds of prey on display, flying over the heads of the audience (very low!!) There really is a lot to see, a great park for children. There were a lot of signs saying "weather permitting" and my only worry would be how much of it would have gone ahead if it was raining. We felt it was reasonably priced and the cafe was well stocked with a selection of local hot and cold food, which was also reasonably priced.

Spent 4.1/2 lovely hours here and would recommend this attraction to anybody who loves birds and animals. It is very clean and all the birds are visible in their large cages. Free living flamingos on the lawn. The special feeding and talks were interesting and educational especially the free flying show which included a kookaburra . A great day for all, young and old.
