What a lovely little place, on the high street it's so accessible for shops etc. Pauline and Mark couldn't have been more helpful and hospitable, moving rooms for us to make life easier. The family room is excellent and allowing us to use the cafe area and back garden meant we could have an evening after the baby to bed! The rooms aren't en suite (1 beautiful room is), but the bathrooms aren't far. It's cosy, comfy and honestly delightful. Thanks for a lovely stay xxx

Really family friendly atmosphere, homemade food with a lovely garden to eat out when the weather is fine. Great choice of lunchtime meals and snacks, the afternoon tea was perfect with homemade scones and plenty of clotted cream!

At about 5pm on a bank holiday week end we despaired of finding anywhere to stay in Cornwall when we saw the small vacancy sign on the footpath. Then we met someone who was staying in this BnB & they recommended it. We were greeted with friendliness, homeliness & a lovely room with a view of the tidal estuary. Good eateries nearby - the Italian restaurant was great. The BnB breakfast was very special - the breakfast room doubles as a tearoom. Carparking is available in narrow sidestreets so you must be able to park very close to fences.

Room Tip: upstairs for a good view

We had a twin room with shared facilities, which while a little tired was clean. The host was exceptionally friendly and jolly, and provided the most generous breakfast of the whole holiday. Lovely fresh fruit. Good value, would use again

My wife and I, accompanied by our daughter and Blue our 8st Siberian Retriever, visited the Mad Hatter in Hayle, Cornwall. We were all made to feel so welcome, we had three of Paulines famous fry ups, proper breakfasts and a fantastic start to the day. The food and service was second to none, Charlotte our waitress was charming and very attentive, you'd think we had known them for years. Pauline also bakes the most wonderful cakes and pastries, a fantastic treat anytime of the day. If you are ever in the vicinity, you should really make the effort to pop in and say hello, you won't be disappointed, we will certainly be visiting the 'Mad Hatter' the next time we are in Cornwall.
