We have just returned from a fabulous Jubilee weekend in Cornwall and are missing this beautiful county already. We were lucky enough to find accommodation at The Old Quay House in Hayle. We really cannot rate this place highly enough! We had a beautiful room literally right next to the estuary and were surprised by the lovely little extras they provided, slippers and dressing gowns included!! For ease we decided to eat in the pub itself and we weren't disapointed, good pub grub and not a rip off. If you are lucky enough to stumble across the Old Quay House then make sure you have the pate and the fish and chips, they are very yummy. Breakfast was just as good, a tasty full english with proper thick toast. All in all a lovely place to stay and eat, with friendly and welcoming staff. One piece of advice, make sure you book an estuary view room.
