“Everything you expect from a Premier Inn”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014

I stayed at this hotel in June 2014 and chose it as it was the cheapest room I could find at late notice..most other hotels were increasing their prices dramatically for this date to take advantage of fathers day visitors to Cornwall. The hotel is ideally located on the edge of Hayle and close to major roads into St Ives, Penzance etc. It was clean and well maintained although not as modern as some of the other Premier Inn properties.

After a long day with my daughter in St Ives, it was a perfect spot to come back to in the evening. There is a Brewers Fayre pub next door as well as a McDonalds so something for both me and my daughter. Beds were large and comfy and had flat screen TV's in the room (perfect for watching Englands first world cup match that night!) The receptionist on both days were very pleasant and took time to talk to us and let us know where they were should we need anything. The housekeeping team who I bumped into on the corridor were also extremely friendly and reflected well on the company.

Overall, a pleasant stay and a nice relaxed atmosphere. I would stay again should I get a good price. If You are staying at the weekend and are planning on taking the bus into Penzance or St Ives then beware the Sunday service!! I missed one and the next bus to St Ives was a two hour wait!

Convenient and easy to find. Clean and comfortable rooms with friendly and efficient staff.
The Brewers Fayre pub next door provided the meals and was also a welcoming, friendly place to spend a couple of hours. The breakfast was excellent but unfortunately, the hotel was badly let down by the quality of the pre-booked evening dinner. Would stay there again but only on a B & B basis.

Room Tip: I believe that all rooms are of a similar standard

Stayed here on the 1st June on the way to Scilly Isles. All staff were very polite and courteous. Reception smelt fusty. The room was what you would expect, corporate and bland, but comfy enough and clean. Doors banging up to 2330. Very Poor Breakfast at Brewers fayre next door, probably the worst breakfast ever. No buffett, food order took a long time to arrive, very dry sausages rock hard hash browns poached egg solid. Beans and mushrooms were good but I did not order them. Was this food warmed up from the day before I wonder???? Completed the online questionaire and was surprised that someone from the company did not contact me regarding my poor rating. They probably dont care! Poor start to our holiday thankfully everything inthe Isles of Scilly was first class.

Room Tip: far end of corridor

Stayed here for 2 nights recently. I personally thought it was rather expensive as its very out dated and not the cleanest place I have stayed. The staff were friendly and the bedroom was large and the tv was fine, it was comfortable but very much in need of an update, sooner rather than later.

I found it very noisy, you could hear people walking around upstairs and the doors slam regardless how carefully you try to shut them, it needs better sound proofing like their newer ones. If I were to go back id ask for a top floor room, at least then you cant hear people above you.

Didn't have breakfast so cant comment but I'm not very keen on those sorts of pubs so would rather go to a nice local restaurant for freshly cooked local produce.

Its in a good location and easy to get to. Overall is was fine.

Room Tip: Ask for a top floor room

overnight stop before sailing from Penzance to Scilly Isles, convenient for port. Chosen because I prefer to know standards! Excellent breakfast
Shame restaurant too busy in evening, not up to scratch!

Amazing value.. Stayed in a family room at half term with our 3 children (1 in a cot). 5 minutes drive from st Ives and Carbis Bay. Couldn't be better for £307. Would definitely recommend the Premier breakfast in the brewers fare next door. £17.50 per day for all of us to eat as much as we wanted. The food was faultless. Staff all incredibly polite and helpful. Next to a small retail park with next, m&s, boots, McDonald's and Lidl. In this part of Cornwall you will not find anything as good!

Well located hotel, the room was clean and mimics most premier inns I've stayed in. Room was hot during the night and water pressure low. Overall good. Brewers fair adj. was nice and ample parking for both the premier inn and adj. pub. Noise from the pub is no issue, macdonalds is also adj., Hayle is approx. five minutes drive and st. Ives approx. twenty minutes away.
