“Well worth a short vist”

The Old Foundry Chapel
Reviewed 31 May 2017

An interesting chapel now put to an alternative use of small commercial outlets of vary quality. Largely second hand / antique shops - thus you never know what you will find.

Love these little shops
Cute, quirky, most very friendly
Lovely way to spend an hour or so on a wet afternoon
Or to find an unusual gift

I decided to go and look around on a rainy Saturday and there were antique shops as well as clothing shops and handmade shops with gorgeous jewellery, bags and scarfs. Whiled away a good 30 minutes looking at everything. There was a car park just across the road from it.

I remember this place from the late 1970's as "A glory Hole", but it's a bit more genteel now!
Having said that, there is still a lot of interesting stuff to browse, and if you are genuinely interested in buying old books, china or miscellaneous bricabrac, a little gentle haggling can work wonders!
There is also a range of new arty / craft retailers that you won't find on the high street.

We love spending time here, looking in the various small boutiques selling clothes, jewellery etc and second hand shops. Everyone is friendly and there is a cafe if you fancy a sandwich and a cuppa. Well worth a visit when you arw in hayle.
