we stayed in the Helston Premier Inn for one night whilst visiting family, Our room was large and well maintained with a big comfortable bed and a decent shower, but on the downside the room was freezing cold when we arrived and it took a bit of trial and error to sort out just how to warm things up, by the time we got it to a comfortable temperature we were going out again.we were a bit disappointed that there were only 2 teabags and 2 coffee's supplied we had a tea when we arrived so we had none left for an early morning cuppa, We decided to use the on site restaurant for our evening meal and booked for our daughter too, the ambience of the restaurant is very nice its warm and inviting unfortunateley the service and menu wasnt so warm and inviting, first they ran out of Pinot Grigio wine, then having ordered the fish cakes for my main meal a waiter came over to say they had run out of fish cakes so I would have to order an alternative, the explaination was that they were changing over from their Winter to Summer menu! the restaurant seemed to be in a bit of chaos, I know one couple who were seated at a table not far from us, walked out complaining that they had ordered their drinks 15minutes before and were not prepared to wait any longer. Its a shame because the actual building has all the right ingredients to be a nice restaurant, they just need to get the services sorted out a bit, having said that the staff were friendly enough just a bit disorganised. All in all I would be happy to give the place another try and next time hopefully they will have got their act together better.
