“Luxury and homely! ”
Reviewed 26 April 2018 for a stay in April 2018

My partner and I stayed here for two nights in October! We had the most fabulous time and certainly can’t wait to return! When we arrived Kevin and Kate gave us the warmest welcome and told us all about the local things to do! We also arrived to freshly made scones and a bottle of wine in the fridge! The Old Dairy was very modern and cosy with everything you would need! It felt like a ‘home from home!’ The only thing we would change is to go for longer! We definitely did not want to come home and can’t wait to go back soon!! Thank you!

“Outstanding property ”
Reviewed 8 April 2018 for a stay in April 2018

My husband, my 9 year old son and I stayed for a week over Easter. The property is finished to a very high standard, excellent showers, huge bathtub, underfloor heating and immaculately clean. A great peaceful location.

On arrival we were given a tour of the old dairy and were welcomed with fresh home-made scones, a bottle of wine and an Easter egg. I was thrilled that they also had a Tassimo coffee machine which we could use ( sorry I love my machine back home ! )
The property also has a washer dryer and some great family games and we spent a couple of evenings playing Cornwall Monopoly.
The outside area has plenty of space for children to run around some swings, chickens and ducks. There are also buckets and spades available to borrow.
We were out most days but it was a great place to come back to you in the evening.
Would definitely return again and thank you to the owners !

“Well equipped, modern, clean and comfortable accommodation”
Reviewed 19 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Myself, husband and little boy of 2 stayed in the Hayloft. The accommodation was spacious, very well equipped with everything you would expect and more. The surrounding area was beautiful and peaceful with plenty of safe playing space for our little boy to run around in.
The Hayloft provided an excellent base to get out and visit Cornwall with some lovely local pubs nearby.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here to our friends and family. The hosts Kevin and Kate struck the right balance of being friendly and welcoming without overbearing.

“Modern but charming with everything you'll need”
Reviewed 27 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Very friendly and welcoming. We all loved it especially saving up our left overs for the piggies. Plenty of room in the converted dairy but also to play outside around the chickens and duck pens. Fresh eggs, we made bread and cooked roast dinners while we were there and had everything we needed.
Perfect quiet location, the week went in a flash, comfortable mattresses, nice bathrooms, decent telly and log burner for very cold evenings only because the underfloor heating keeps a nice constant warm temperature- ENJOY!!

“Luxury, peace and relaxation with a baby? We couldn't believe our luck!”

As any new mother knows, travelling with a baby or toddler means triple the work for the occasional flicker of fun very late at night when they (maybe) have gone to sleep. Days are usually filled with fending off dangers - from roads to pools to ill-placed lamps on sharp coffee tables. It's rare to impossible to find a truly baby-friendly hotel room, let alone holiday apartment.
On this note, The Old Dairy was perfect in every way. Seriously.
*Baby gate, nice high chair, cot and play pen that the owners kindly set up for us, DVDs and books as well as a really clean collection of children's toys.
*We can report that the wifi works perfectly throughout - I even had signal downstairs.
* TV in bedroom and living room, lovely fluffy towels, immaculately clean everything, amazingly soft White Company sheets, fabulous bath with a tap feature our 11 month old found endlessly fascinating.
* The property has easy-to-clean beautiful wood floors throughout, amazing glass windows and skylights everywhere and the best-equipped kitchen we've come across in any rental. I even had everything I needed to bake a cake and make a full roast dinner. They literally thought of everything - champagne glasses as well as enough wine glasses for a proper dinner party, children's plastic ware (nice touch!), perfect number of pots and pans, every utensil on the planet.
* The owners have worked with the space beautifully, creating light and extra feelings of space, even in a smaller room.
* Even the dryer works well (where else can you say this in England??!).
* Welcome scones (and in our case adorable mince pies and bubbles as well, for Christmas and New Years - thanks guys!)

Fab location too. Historic house up the road is great for walks sans car, and Porthleven 4 miles away has great pubs, restaurants (kota kai has it's own kids room, bowling and dvds) and costal walks.

We rent out our French property ourselves, so know this game on both sides, and have come away seriously impressed with the job Kevin and Kate are doing. It's so difficult to please everyone, but they may just have done it :)

Liked best: The well-stocked kitchen, high ceilings and amazing renovation job by Kevin and Kate!
Liked least: Difficult to find in the dark - maybe a sign, marker or light at the entrance would help?
