Heard about this little vineyard on the radii back in Spring and decided to visit when in area - I wasn't disappointed. Charlie was a brilliant host, very knowledgeable and informative. If you've ever wanted to learn about the art of viticulture with some 'hands on' practice thrown in, then this is the place for you. Unlike bigger vineyards where everything is mechsnised, this young vineyard is operated totally hands on by Charlie and his wife Sue, so you learn an awful lit more and come away with a deeper understanding of the wine making process. The added bonus is you that get detailed lesson in wine tasting, allowing you to fully appreciate the excellent wine that is produced and bottled on site Altogether a really interesting and great experience

What a fantastic afternoon.
Charlie was a very welcoming host and gave us a very interesting, hands on, tour of his incredible vineyard. Explaining the process of growing a vineyard and bottling wine.
My boyfriend and I were the only ones on the tour and got to help out with the upkeep of the vines using the tools provided. Then we were taught how to taste wine properly and got to choose three from a selection of wines to taste.
The sun was shining, the friendly dogs cute companions and a most pleasant afternoon was had.
Would highly recommend a visit.

My partner and I got excellent value from this tour and thoroughly enjoyed it!

The whole thing took about an hour and a half. First one of the owners (Charles) took us around his vineyard, explaining about different varieties of grape, growing conditions and the process of establishing the vines. It was quite hands on and we had a go pruning and caring for the vines. He then showed us the wine making equipment and talked through how it gets made. Finally he taught us a framework for tasting the wine - the application of which we greatly enjoyed!

Knowing nothing about wine coming in, the tour was pitched at the perfect level and Charles explained things really well. His obvious passion and enthusiasm is what made it a really memorable experience. We would highly recommend to others.

Stumbled across this gem whilst visiting friends in Looe and spent a delightful afternoon touring the vineyard and tasting the wines. It was meant to be a work trip but felt so educational I could justify a couple of hours in the sunshine on this special strip of land. The owners took great trouble to explain the process of choosing, growing and nurturing the vines and answered all manner of stupid questions patiently. Tasting the wine at the end felt like a celebration of all we had just learned. What's more we took home some vine leaves to make dolmades... I will be back.
