“Great water sports centre and more...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2014

We were looking for something to do with a sporting theme. Sibleyback has Sailing, Kayaking,Fishing and a brilliant cable-tow wake boarding course...we didn't take part in that but watching others master it (or not!) was entertaining in itself. There's camping, walking and cycling as well but we went for the 'Segway Experience'. Having already had a taste of segways on flat tarmac elsewhere we wanted to try the 'off road' version and they have them at Sibleyback. Booking was by phone and they were extremely helpful. The max group size is 6 so it's not chaotic. The safety briefing and training was thorough and all of us were then allowed out (with a trained guide) to go right around the lake edge path which goes through wooded areas where you can taste off-roading. We really enjoyed it even though it poured with rain for the last 15 minutes. Warning...wrap up warm! The total time is about 90 minutes including training and it's great fun. We had a group aged from 60's to teens and it's a real leveller. We will go again and also take in some of the other sports...You can spend a few hours there, a full day, or overnight camp or camper van.

“Fun wakeboarding experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2014 via mobile

This review is mainly about SW Wakeboarding. I went down to Siblyback lake twice to try wakeboarding, and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. The student price for the wakeboard is very reasonable and I feel that it is very much worth the money. Only issue for me is that they don't provide gloves so if you have fingers that don't do well with the cold bring your own wetsuit gloves. With regards to the rest of the lake, it is a nice place but it is quite hard to reach by public transport (train to liskeard then hop on bus 573 then walk for half an hour). The lake has a nice little cafe but it's quite pricey and doesn't have much variety. But all in all, I think it is a great place to go especially for doing waterspouts in a safe environment.

“Great ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 April 2014 via mobile

We had a lovely few hours here some of us walked around the lake 3.5 miles and 3 of us rode... we hired bikes from reception £6 per hour..... It was a lovely walk around spectacular views and paths all the way round.... The dog had a great time sniffing all new smells...... Be careful of dog poo..... (supposed to pick up after ur dog but unfortunately not everyone has adhered to this which is a shame) we visited cafe again after a bad time last year and have to say we only had a drink and icecream but this was ok they seemed more organised ... The only draw back of the whole visit was the toilets they were absolutely disgusting need to be cleaned alot more often.....

“Nice Afternoon”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 April 2014 via mobile

Went to the lake for a visit, hired bikes and had a lovely ride around the lake. Paths maintained well making it a pleasant ride. Only slight drawback was the limited choice of bikes, the saddles could benefit from being more comfortable.
