“Lovely holiday cottage - pics don't do it justice!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Beechwood Cottage is a lovely property and bigger than it looks. Lovely en-suite bathrooms and real character. The gardens are extensive but the only thing that was a minor disappointment to us was that there were no nice walks nearby for the dogs. The cottage is quite close to a busy main road. But other than that it was worm and cosy, the log burner was one of the best I have ever seen and the owners couldn't do enough for us to make our stay enjoyable. Well worth considering if you are looking for a property around the Liskeard area.

Thank you for your kind responce to our property and to us,it is most appreciated.People expect the cottage to be small and dingy, and it lovely to see there faces change when they go inside. There are some lovely walks in the area, but yes unfortunatly they are always a short drive away.We are pleased you enjoyed your stay as we were to have you and hope that has not put you off staying with us again.

“Lovely Cottage,Excellent base for exploring”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Had a fantastic holiday with my Wife, my Father and my Son and his Girlfriend for my 50th Birthday. The cottage was well placed for our days out and very comfortable for when we got back. Richard and June were very friendly and helpful, nothing was to much trouble for them, they made our stay a very pleasant one.

“A fantastic cottage with very lovely owners”

We found this property on cottages4u and were taken in by the beautiful photos of this cottage. We are a large family, 2 adults and 4 children. This property was a very good price. Cheaper than a caravan holiday for our family for the week. When we arrived at the cottage we had a lovely warm, friendly welcome from the owner June. She showed us around the cottage and explained to us that if there was anything we needed that should be there to let her know. Everything was perfect. The place was immaculate. June obviously takes great pride in her property and cleanliness. The place was extremely spacious and the children loved it. The garden was beautiful and had a little pond, that certainly didn't pose any threat to our 4 year old son as it was small and shallow. The cottage has a small annex on the side which is also used for lettings. There was a family of 4 in there at the time. This again was of no dissapointment to us as we had so much space. Across the garden is were the owners live. For us, this was lovely as any information on the area I needed I only had to knock on their door. The property is in a great location for cornwall and Plymouth. We were out every day from one side of Cornwall to the other going from beach to beach. We were pleasently suprised with a little place called Looe, great for crab fishing, bathing on the beach and shopping for novelties. There is a pub a few hundred yards down the road from the cottage. A proper country pub with a very welcoming Land lord who cooks fantastic pub grub. The children were welcome every evening.
All in all I would recommend this place to anyone and would certainly go again. A credit to June and Richard x

Sorry about the loo rolls.
This is a multi complex of accommodation with one acre of gardens enough for all to enjoy, which is quite clear on Holiday Lettings site.
Yes sometimes the parking is tight, but if you had listened to your wife and not tried to get in a gap that was obviously too small after a night out on the beer you would not have upset my other guest.

Many thanks for you kind response and for booking with us.We do try to keep out of our guest way and that includes the garden, as we have our own veranda which looks out to Caradon hill and a sunset which can't be veiwed so well from our holiday lettings.
