Little Upton Boutique Belltent
Reviewed 30 May 2014

We stayed at Little Upton on one of the windiest, rainiest weekends in the year so far! Although it sounded like the bell tent might take off at times, we stayed dry and cosy inside, and nice and warm thanks to the log burner. The campsite is bijou but very cute and the kids loved all the animals. Our dog was desperate to befriend the rabbit but strangely the rabbit didn't seem all that interested! The kitchen and bathroom were clean and well appointed, although it would have been handy to have a hob to cook on as it wasn't really barbecue weather! We will bring our own gas stove next time just in case! The local pub is fantastic and we had an excellent meal there. Also enjoyed some stunning walks, and being a keen equestrian, I had a great cross-country ride with the riding stable down the road which certainly blew the cobwebs away! We also had a day trip to Morwellham Quay, where Edwardian Farm was filmed, which was really interesting - my son particularly loved the trip into the disused copper mine on a little electric train. We managed to have a fab weekend despite the weather - thanks Sarah!

Visited little upton last weekend with a group of girlfriends, the setting is idyllic with amazing views, the tents and facilities were perfect and we had everything we needed, lovely hot shower too !! Only 1 loo but this wasn't a problem for us only thing we took was a gas burner for our bacon butties !! The owners were really friendly and helpful, offering advice where to visit etc, we went to adrenalin quarry which is quite local and had a brilliant time ! thankfully the weather was on our side too which made the weekend even better. I would 100% recommend little upton and have booked again to go with my husband & kids as they will love it here too :-)

We were a hen party of 7 staying in two of the very comfortable bell tents, we had a great weekend with fantastic weather. The views are stunning and the resident animals add to a lovely country expierience. The owners were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, the kichen and bathroom facilities are clean and well equipped. The village pub was very accommodating and the food was great and good value, we visited the adrenalin quarry which is close by and a recommended day of fun. A very big thank you to the owners Greg and Sarah and to Sarah's mum who was on hand if we needed anything. Hope we weren't too much trouble.

Small site with three bell tents. Open access to kitchen and bathroom facilities. Each tent has decked area with table and benches, BBQ and firepit.

Family friendly and safe for children in enclosed field. Our children were kept amused by the chickens, pigs, horse and Alpacas and could participate in feeding.

Tip- brush up on your fire starting skills! There is a wood burner in the tent. The owner very kindly helped us light ours after failing ourselves.

Would definitely return.

Friendly and excellent atmosphere. The owners were attentive yet didn't intrude. Beautiful views from the tents. Our kids loved feeding the animals, playing with the garden toys and the nearby horse riding. The village pub is really close for cosy dinners too. Highly recommend.

We booked last minute and were amazed at how lucky we'd been to find this place. It's centrally located in Cornwall if your planning to explore. The site has beautiful views with loads of space to yourselves. The tents, kitchen and bathroom were very clean and cosy, and the owners were lovely. The tent is on decking and has an outside area with wooden picnic bench, BBQ and fire pit. The wood burner kept us amazingly warm too. Highly recommend!
