I have stayed in many guest houses, but 'Pencubbit' has to be the best yet! Patrick was very welcoming and personable, and nothing was too much trouble. The whole place is spotlessly clean enough to eat your dinner off the floor, should the fancy take you. Speaking of which, we pre-ordered dinner for our first night, and the quality and presentation of the food, coupled with the ambience was top notch!! Cooked by Patrick's fair hand. The cooked breakfast was also lovely, with a good choice of healthier options.

The guest house is situated in lovely grounds, with stunning views. Believe me pictures do not do it justice! Although tucked away down a country lane, it is just a stone's throw from Liskeard station. So although set in a quiet location, civilization is within reach.

The house is grand, whilst being tastefully furnished with a modern touch. It has a very homely feel. I hope to return here, and would not hesitate to recommend. It is the epitome of how any good hotel should be run.

Patrick & Julie were exceptional hosts & extended a very warm welcome. Well maintained, comfortable & elegant public areas offering a well stocked and reasonably priced bar in relaxing guest lounge.
Room well appointed with fabulous views. Breakfast was excellent in a convivial dining room. We shall certainly return!

Room Tip: All rooms are superb and individual. Patrick always pleased to advise.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely Country House style B&B in a beautiful setting.
The welcome was warm & we were pleased to see the size of the large double room with a lovely view across the neighbouring fields and their lovely gardens.
We received a good recommendation for dinner in a nearby restaurant.
Breakfast was very good with a wide choice.
We would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the area.

Fantastic rooms , wonderful breakfast and such friendly owners. We spent the weekend ... Definitely sit in the lounge with its gorgeous view ... Shame the weather was not good enough for us to be able to sit in the grounds, can't recommend this place enough. If you love a building with character and relaxed ambience like we do stay here. It's only 5 min walk from the train station and 10 min to the town.

We visited this lovely Guest House for the weekend. It is situated in a quiet road but is accessible to town and the Railway Station is nearby. We were made very welcome by Patrick and Julie. The room was very clean and comfortable. The décor in the rest of the house was tasteful with a lovely lounge to sit in and a small bar. The food was excellent one of the best breakfasts we have had. You could book Dinner if you requested Patrick to cook for you earlier in the day. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will certainly be returning again.
Thank you for making us so welcome Patrick and Julie
