Absolutely lovely. Rachel was very welcoming, bringing us tea and her delicious cakes when we arrived. The beds were comfy, towels fluffy, bathrooms modern and spotless. Breakfast was a treat, with different types of fruit, cereals and yoghurt in addition to full English and various different breads, all homemade. The accomodation has its own front door so you have a sense of privacy lacking at other B&Bs. An absolute gem.

I travelled with my mum for a week in Cornwall and found the two rooms with ajoining well equiped sitting room, perfect for our needs.

The home cooked breakfast was perfect and the friendly helpful hosts made our stay a real treat.

Loved the area and the garden with its access to the river was great for sunny afternoons.

Lostwithiel is the nearest small town with several tea rooms and pubs, but you have good road access to St Austell, Bodmin, Wadebridge etc so plenty of choices for days out and places to eat.

Would definately recommend the B&B and hope to return one day.

We stayed at The Old Forge for 3 nights while in Cornwall to attend a wedding at nearby Boconnoc. We booked early and were lucky enough to get the Forge Suite, which comprises a spacious bedroom, bathroom and lovely well-furnished lounge with large TV, integrated fridge and woodburner.

On arrival Rachel greeted us and showed us our suite, before preparing us a lovely, homemade Cornish cream tea, which we had in the beautiful, picturesque garden by the river, which the cottage backs on to.

Everywhere was spotlessly clean and Rachel's attention to detail in all aspects was clear to see.

We were delighted with the suite but the real test was still to come - breakfast! We had high expectations and weren't disappointed - my vegetarian cooked breakfast was the best breakfast i've had at a B&B, or indeed anywhere! My husband enjoyed his full English and cleared his plate. There was also a choice of cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt and other cooked options, along with home-made toast and preserves. 10 out of 10!

Rachel and Chris were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. If we're in the area again we'll definitely be planning a stay at The Old Forge.

Booked as a package with Classic Cars, as an anniversary gift for my husband. Spotless, tasteful, homely, welcoming and a snuggly warm fire as was required in November! Rachel's breakfasts are to die for! We saved a fortune as we couldn't make room for lunches! Loved it so very much, we're going back in May. Can't recommend Rachel and Chris's home enough.

After trawling the net I took a punt on The Old Forge and boy did I win the lottery! Driving into Lerryn in my rental car I was overwhelmed with the beauty and quiet tranquility of the village and surrounds. My hosts were so caring and welcoming, I immediately felt like an old friend. The accommodation was very special. I stayed in the Anvil suite with my own sitting room. I had an independent entrance and everything I could possibly wish for in my own private 'flat'.
Rachel's breakfasts were beautifully presented and gourmet in every sense of the word. The attention to detail in the sitting room, bathroom and bedroom made for an extremely comfortable stay. After several days I regretted having made further bookings in Cornwall, as I wanted to become a permanent resident!

Stayed here as part of a package with classic cars to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. This simply has to be heaven on earth .Tastefully decorated with really personal touches. After a day sightseeing Rachel appears with the offer of a pot of tea or coffee and she has just baked something fab to share . We stayed in the suite which had it's own living room with fab log fire .The breakfast is to die for has to be experienced,
Spotlessly clean . The village is really pretty but also very quiet with one pub which suits us .Would move there tomorrow (if we won the lottery)
THanks Rachel & Chris for a truly magical stay

Stayed here on first night of a cycling holiday with friends, hadn't stayed in much B&B previously so unsure what to expect. So pleased we picked this one on our 1st night, the location, accommodation and breakfast were first class as well as a very warm welcome after 5 hours on the road .
Two lovely bedrooms with interconnecting sitting room ideal for our party of 2 couples. To sum up a fantastic B&B in the very picturesque village of Lerryn which we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others - enjoy
