Room was very nice with lovely decor, very comfortable beds & beautiful views. Very peaceful sleep was had.

Lots of thoughtful touches throughout the room, bathroom and house in general, everything we needed was there, plus more including bedside books.

Really nice reception on arrival, we were made to feel very welcome & relaxed. Delicious breakfast with a good array of cooked & cold options and even herbal teas for non-caffeine drinkers.

Lovely warm and thoughtful owners who took the time to make our stay enjoyable.

We recently enjoyed wonderful Cornwell trip and luckily stopped at Hazelmere House in Lostwithiel. We received a warm welcome to the beautiful house and lovely looking rooms. As my 12 years old daughter commented: “the softest towels I ever used…” The house and the garden are well kept and inspiring comfortable and cozy feeling. The breakfast is tasty and Sheila’s fresh fruit salad is delicious. It did not take long before we decided to stay an extra day following Sheila’s knowledgeable recommendation for local site seeing tour.
Furthermore, our hosts have gone above and beyond, when our car broke down, in trying to help opening their hearts and minds to support us and make the unpleasant event as easy as it could be. They offered to pick us up from the road, drive us to the garage and took care for everything they could possibly help.

We were looking for an out of season long weekend break and came across Hazelmere by lucky chance. The small town of Lostwithiel is a gem, and there are lots of interesting places all around - but it's Hazelmere itself, and the warm welcome we got there, which is the star of the show.
Richard and Sheila are complete professionals, having owned and run the local hotel for years, but now they've transferred their expertise to the B & B scene. Our bedroom was luxurious and the breakfast couldn't have been bettered. The gardens are lovely and there's a south facing summerhouse in which to settle down with a book, or as a previous reviewer said, just take a snooze. I'm not sure what else we could have asked for.
For once the pictures don't do the place justice, so much so that my wife and I were almost tempted to keep this discovery to ourselves, but that would be mean. We've already booked in for a return visit - if only more B & B's could reach this standard.

Hazelmere house is run by a very warm and welcoming family. The house is a large and well maintained building on a beautiful piece of land, and the views were lovely.

Clean & comfortable room/bathroom. And I must say, a particularly tastey breakfast was provided in the morning - much need after the wedding I had come to the area to attend.

As a young woman traveling on my own, I was made to feel that they cared (without being intrusive), that I knew where I was going & that I was safe.

I would recommend Hazelmere House to anyone planning a trip to that part of Cornwall.

We stayed at Hazelmere House recently whilst visiting Cornwall and we couldn't have wished for more. The accommodation is absolutely fantastic with superb rooms decorated so well, beautiful gardens, and not to forget the summer house that I personally spent lots of time snoozing in!

Sheila and Richard were superb hosts with nothing too much to ask for, even bringing us tea and scones in the summer house one day! The breakfast too was amazing with eggs fresh that morning from the chickens outside!

This really is a little hidden gem and we shall be returning the next time we ever find ourselves in Cornwall!
