The ambiance, the service and the food were all superb. Not just good, but SUPERB; and, the au gratin potato dish was the best ever.

We went as a family for coffee on the last-but-one day of our recent short break, and were disappointed that we didn't go earlier and for a full meal.

This is a charming, small, friendly, and foodie place that looks somewhat modest from the outside but is well worth a visit. the service was pleasant, efficient, and friendly... our coffees came with fresh home-made biscuits, and we sat in the small courtyard garden drooling at the lunch smells coming from the nearby kitchen. Next time we will eat... for sure.

I suspect that booking is a requirement in the peak periods, because this really is a very small, if perfectly formed, local eaterie.

A small cosy restaurant. Food was excellent even though there had been a fish shortage due to the recent storms. Staff helpful and chatty (a good thing)

Wanted somewhere where 4 discerning friends could enjoy a memorable meal to celebrate a milestone birthday! I certainly wasn't disappointed. The food was just superb and the presentation absolutely beautiful. Service was quiet and unobtrusive. Surroundings tasteful and delicate. If we come back to the area again, we won't have to research where to eat again: Trewithen it will be. Thank You

A party of 6 of us had a really lovely evening at Trewithens. We were warmly greeted by friendly staff. Our party of 4 adults and 2 children were made to feel very welcome and the cosy interior was beautifully done.

More to the point, the food was fabulous. Bursting with flavour and elegantly presented, we all really enjoyed it. The bread which came first was great too. The children's menu was excellent too, no rubbish here! The menu was quite short but I always see that as a positive as generally it means it is all freshly cooked. The chef really knows their stuff, we were all very impressed by the lovely fresh food full of flavour.

My only criticism was that the room was too warm but other than that it was a truly lovely meal made even better by the quality of the staff.
