Wonderful two night break, not problem getting seats or tables wherever we requested - if you need anything just ask and it will be done. The best hotel we have stayed in for service, the staff are wonderful. The food is fantastic, and the hot tub experience watching the sunset with a glass of rose cannot be beaten anywhere in the world.

The old saying 'a picture can tell a thousand words' is so apt with regards to the one of sunset from the hot tub. Thanks so much for posting it up for others to enjoy, and what a wonderful memory for you to be left with! I completely agree that there is nothing quite sun set from the hot tub, especially with a glass of something lovely to hand, and strangely it's as wonderful in the cold and storms as it is in the glorious sunshine. I will really enjoy reading out your kind words to the team, and hope that you will visit us again very soon for another well deserved break.

Went for a romantic weekend away. Couldn't have asked for better service. From the stunning scenery with a glass of champagne in the outdoor hot tub to the lovely couples spa experience I would definately recommend. The spa facilities are very good, the food was delicious and varied. The whole experience was relaxing and overall we had a brilliant weekend. Were going back for the day spa can't wait.

Thank you for taking the time to write such kind words regarding your time here. I'm so glad that you had a lovely, romantic time with us (hard not to in the hot tub at sunset with a glass of fizz, I find!) and I'm so glad that you're hoping to return for a day soon. I noticed that you're based just a short drive away from us, and would also recommend that you sign up to hear about exclusive offers (both for locals and people further afield) either through our website http://www.scarlethotel.co.uk/locals/ following us on twitter, or dropping us an email. We have a wonderful spa package at the moment that I feel you would love as it takes all the elements that you've mentioned here and adds the rhassoul (my favourite) as well, so might be worth having a look at.

Thank you once again, and we look forward to welcoming you over here on the coast again very soon!

This is a great adults only hotel it feels so relaxed that you could be in someone's home yet at the same time if you need something someone just appears. There are so many seating areas all with great views of the cost you can always find one. We booked a 4 day Spa break and didn't want to leave. The hot tub on the cliff top is a must. Food was excellent. Also worth a mention just over an hour cliff top walk and you are at 15 Cornwall for a different location to eat and a taxis home. Just go and relax in this lovely hotel and location we'll done.

Room Tip: We stays in the generous king on the top floor.

I am so glad that you had an excellent rest, and felt at home with us after your spa package- exactly what we try to achieve!. Some people find it difficult to actually leave the comfort of the hotel to venture out, so I'm really glad to hear that you did manage to blow the cobwebs away with a clifftop walk. I admit that I am a little bias (having lived here over twelve years) but I really do feel that we are blessed with some of the most stunning areas of coastline in the whole of the UK (and why we actively encourage our guests to go out and enjoy it by providing maps, wellies and binoculars!)

Thank you for taking the time to tell others about your experience here. I do hope that as you had such a wonderful time that we will be welcoming you once again soon with some more wonderful ideas of walks and areas of interest for you.

Our second visit to the Scarlet, but this time for Christmas. Our group comprised myself and my husband and our two mothers. Our rooms were amazing, ours the size of a football pitch! Hotel found a great balance, making it Christmassy enought without too much "jingle bells" nonsense, and how fantastic not to worry about th noise of other peoples' over excited children! Plenty of activities to amuse and entertain but no compulsion to participate. Great Christmas morning swim which seemed mad conceptually, but in reality great fun and well organised. Food as always super. Spa as lovely as I remembered it and quite an experience to sit in the hot tub overlooking the beach in December in a howling gale? Bit disappointed though that the tubs are no longer wood fired, taken some of the romance away. Kind staff who chatted away despite being very busy. Service efficient. Thanks Scarlet for a great Christmas. We will return, hopefully next time at a warmer time of year.

I am so glad that you had a wonderful time with us. It's such a special time of year for a family, and we feel that staying here just takes all of the stress away, allowing you to just relax and enjoy the company of each other and often other guests, as well. I agree, the Christmas swim is a Scarlet tradition which does sound barmy, but is a firm favourite with guests every year (and equally as popular on New Years Day for blowing away the cobwebs, too!)

It's wonderful to read that you are hoping to come back during this warmer time of the year. Cornwall is wonderful in the spring and summer (we can even sometimes offer spa treatments and yoga sessions outside in the sunshine) and the wonderful light relaxation room is extended outside onto the cliffs, too, for even more space to relax and 'just be', with the added benefit of sea breeze. Please do give us a call if there is anything we can do for you, and we hope to welcome you again very soon.

The Scarlet Hotel and the beautiful cove it sits in has finally persuaded us to take a break from the Ligurian coastline in Italy - we have our own little riveria right here in Cornwall!!

We booked half board and did not regret a single meal. The variety, freshness and local providence of the food made for 4 delicious evening meals.

The bedrooms were modern Scandinavian style with the most relaxing views of the sea.

The staff gave the best customer service we have had in the UK - attentive without being in your face.

We had such a special time, we immediately booked again for Easter.

Thank you ever so much for your review, and it's lovely to hear that you've booked for Easter. Spring time here is such a wonderful experience, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I've just been outside for a sunny stroll around our cliff top garden (awful job, I know, but somebody has to do it!), and it looks even prettier than ever with the daffodils in bloom and everything waking up and blossoming again. Spring also introduces even more wonderful ingredients to our kitchen, so I'm sure that you will leave the restaurant just as satisfied as you were in the winter! Perhaps you'll even have the opportunity to enjoy a meal or two outside in the sun and sea breeze...

Thank you once again, I will pass your comments on to the team, and we look forward to welcoming you again next month.

What a gem of a hotel the Scarlet is! A true find and we both could not have been more impressed. On arrival, we immediately noticed a distinction between The Scarlet and other hotels. It came as no surprise when we found that the hotel was a family run business. The staff set themselves apart by a country mile in comparison to other hotels by being engaging, genuine and very attentive yet at no time intrusive; Nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel is set in breath taking scenery and it has used this to maximum effect. With a warm indoor pool, an outdoor rock style pool for the summer months and a hot tub and relaxation room all overlooking the bay, you could not be disappointed.

The treatments available were fantastic and provided excellent value for money as part of the package as well as enhancing this wonderful break. The therapists were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and very professional.

For me, the highlight had to be the food which was simply exceptional and worthy of a Michelin star. Again, a real highlight of a great few days.

We both left knowing that we would return in a heartbeat and that it would be a regular place of solace for us both (and probably the nearest either of us will ever get to eternal life!).

Cannot wait to return!

Thank you ever so much for taking the time to post your comments about your experience with us, and it's fantastic to hear that you really felt the attention to detail that is a product of The Scarlet being a 'family business' (The three sisters are so passionate about the hotel and well-being of both guests and staff here that The Scarlet has been described as 'a baby with three mothers' by the media!)

It was a pleasure to pass your kind comments to the team, and will be sure to also pass on to our head chef Tom. I'm so glad that you are hoping to return, and look forward to welcoming you again very soon.

A great hotel in the most wonderful location, very difficult to find any fault. The food was great and the staff are very attentive while being discreet. Lovely hot tub on the cliff and great massage in the spa. This was our second trip and we enjoyed it even more than before. I know it sounds almost to good to be true but it is and we will definitely go back.

Thank you ever so much for taking the time to tell others about your experience here, and it's wonderful news that you enjoyed this stay even more than your first. Here at The Scarlet, we are always on a quest to not only maintain a quality of experience but to continuously find ways, big and small, to make it even better, and so to hear that we achieved this for you is lovely to read, and I will enjoy passing your comments on to the team!

I'm happy to see that you're planning to visit us again. We've had an exciting taste of the coming season this weekend... Warm, sunny weather, and couples snuggling up on the terrace rather than by the log fires in order to watch the sun set over the sea with a glass of fizz... I do hope you'll be back soon enough to experience a balmy Cornish evening yourself! Thank you once again, and we hope to welcome you back again very soon.
